Remember all those times John Percy released news before the EFL put out statements that appeared to come from sources who were biased against Derby and most of us assumed it was someone within the EFL? Interestingly, the first journalist Steve Gibson has spoken to regarding this Chelsea stuff today was none other than John Percy.
    Maybe it's just a coincidence ....

We enjoyed the signings because we stupidly and wrongly thought that Morris and DCFC could afford these signings....but if we knew it was putting our club in jeopardy of course we would'nt...
what?? are we supposed to not like every signing because we think the controller/owner/man in charge of our football club is gambling with our future???? No we/ I thought Morris is a business man knows how to run a business so you trust him......only to over spend....not pay the tax man and then walk away....please wake up and smell the coffee mate....its a ludicrous statement to make saying did we like the signings?? of course we did....what we did not know was we had someone slowly sentencing our club to all of this misery.....He was and is responsible for this and he should be giving the stadium back as he's walked away from debt he orchestrated!! fact?

    This.
If a billionaire buisnessman is happy for us to start on minus 15 points next season for the sake of an extra 5 or 10 million pounds I think it would be a poor decision.
They will instantly devalue the last remaining asset (the goodwill).
Keep us afloat and give us a fighting chance next season, regardless of what division we are in, and the fans will be forever grateful.

    New blood joins this Earth
    And quickly he's subdued
    Through constant pained disgrace
The young boy learns their rules
With time the child draws in
    This whipping boy done wrong
    Deprived of all his thoughts
The young man struggles on and on, he's known
Ooh, a vow unto his own
    That never from this day
    His will they'll take away
    What I've felt
    What I've known
Never shined through in what I've shown
    Never be
    Never see
Won't see what might have been
    What I've felt
    What I've known
Never shined through in what I've shown
    Never free
    Never me
    So I dub thee unforgiven
    They dedicate their lives
    To running all of his
He tries to please them all
    This bitter man he is
    Throughout his life the same
    He's battled constantly
    This fight he cannot win
A tired man they see no longer cares
    The old man then prepares
    To die regretfully
That old man here is me
    What I've felt
    What I've known
Never shined through in what I've shown
    Never be
    Never see
Won't see what might have been
    What I've felt
    What I've known
Never shined through in what I've shown
    Never free
    Never me
    So I dub thee unforgiven
    What I've felt
    What I've known
Never shined through in what I've shown
    Never be
    Never see
Won't see what might have been
    What I've felt
    What I've known
Never shined through in what I've shown
    Never free
    Never me
    So I dub thee unforgiven
    Oh, oh, oh
    Never free
    Never me
    So I dub thee unforgiven
    You labeled me
    I'll label you
    So I dub thee unforgiven

So the administrators have a discussion with the EFL this afternoon and a matter of hours later John Percy has an article out.
The fact that they are so obviously telling the press what is going on in private meeting is absolutely disgusting and sums them up.
Simon Stone saying that we've told the EFL are have funding for the season and Percy saying it's funding till the end of March.
Earlier on it was that we would be announcing a preferred bidder shortly.
I'm sick to the back teeth of this now.

Quantuma were due  to meet Efl this week. So why does Efl have to issue two statements in advance of that meeting ? Presumably to make it look as though they are the ones making things happen. Nothing could be further from the truth.. Efl had caused the delays in the first place.

My gut still tells me that yes, we will.
Letting Derby go under ultimately doesn’t help anyone, EFL included.
I have a lot of thoughts about everything that’s gone on/is going on but it is probably best that I keep them to myself.
All I will say is that the supporters & staff have been let down at every turn.

    Note to Q:
When you tell fans "they will be pleasantly surprised" by the swift progress - and then go quiet - you can't complain when they tell you they are "thoroughly disgusted" by yet another broken deadline.

He gets a lot of bad press but on the whole he wasn't the worst signing we've ever made by a long way. Yes he had games were whatever he tried just didn't come off but he never hid in games. He always showed the grit and determination that we need in our current predicament.
I admire that quality in him to always put his head above the parapet. Quietly did a lot of work for local charity too apparently. Will always be welcome back at Pride Park for me.

I can't disagree with this statement as I can't prove otherwise, by the same token I'm not sure this is something you can prove either.
Having visited the Sheffield Wednesday forum there isn't a lot of love on there for Steve Gibson, I would image Liverpool fans would also not agree having been on the end of his legal action along with other clubs. There is also a small matter of the Man United fanbase that have been questioning the claims in their support for Wayne Rooney.
You can only base your views on what you see and hear, and right now Forest, Leeds and bizarrely Bristol City fans have been very vocal in their support of Steve Gibson, although this will be down to rivalry....except for Bristol City which is once again just bizarre.
I don't know the guy, won't claim to know his life story and the shenanigans he may have been in, but what he has done against this club is unforgivable.
Make no mistake, he is not responsible for the position we are in, he has been responsible for prolonging the situation with his frivolous claims which let's be honest, the club were never the intended target in all this, it was Mel Morris.
Let's also not forget, nowhere would you find Boro fans complaining at the time in 18/19, Tony Pulis was the target of your frustrations and rightly so, only now that Gibson's claims became public are Boro fans out in force to support their owner, which is commendable.
We have seen the benefits of a siege mentality ourselves recently, even clubs such as Leeds which we dislike with a passion, you have to applaud the way they defend their club and anyone connected.
End of the day, it's quite possible the club could have been sold long before we entered administration had we not had these claims over us, they have been the main stumbling block. That's 12 points back on the board, no Embargos and we could potentially be challenging the top 6 with you this season.
I know Boro fans will argue justice has been served, especially if we go down, but relegation is not a punishment the EFL can just hand out.
If you want to hear tales of how great Steve is, what a gentleman and upstanding person in the community, you will not find that on here, so don't be shocked to read plenty of vitriol aimed towards Gibson and in our eyes it's fully deserved. Every single bit of it.

There is a feeling amongst most fans we have been unjustly treated by the EFL and rightly so there is lots of evidence to show we have been treated disproportionately, particularly with regard to the barriers placed in the way on exiting administration with the way Boro and Wycombe claims have been handled, and to a lesser degree the P&S where while we were retrospectively challenged and punished due to the EFL facilitating a vendetta from a particular club, it doesn’t escape the fact we moved large amount of amortisation and sold the stadium to get around FFP rules. On re-stating the accounts we were over spending limits in several years enough for a 17 point deduction under the rules, some Alleviation was applied for being retrospectively punished and potential we would’ve made different business decisions and the punishment was reduced to 9, at least that will be the EFLs argument and personally while annoying we’ve been pursued retrospectively due to peer pressure from other clubs (ironically with parachute payments at the time) and while we should question the influence certain clubs have on the EFL board, we should have been punished and 9 points is about right under the rules.

The Narrative from most fans of other clubs is this Derby being victim here is nauseous, we dont have any sympathy and we’re justifying the actions of Mel which weren’t in the spirit of the game. We’ve won fans with how the team have gone about things and the amazing backing in recent games, and many are appalled at the way the EFL has handled our administration which should be our main beef, we won’t convince anyone on the FFP argument.
That all being said, all we want is fairness. We should’ve been punished, but then so should Boro for selling off tax, so should Watford and Forest for transfer dealing between clubs it owns. None of that is in the spirit of the game either. Stoke shouldn’t be allowed to write off a load of costs due to Covid, if the league have now got together to apply some alleviations because a chunk of clubs will fail FFP then those same alleviation’s should be applied to our points deduction and we should get 1-2 points back based on the numbers shared by GOC. If this doesn’t happen then this once again smacks of inconsistency from the EFL, and further evidence of the mob rule existing in the EFL that needs an independent regulator to stamp out.

So let me get this right, 2 clubs were punished for breaching P&S rules, one of which was due to be asked to resubmit previously signed off accounts.
Now Bristol City, Boro and a number of other clubs look set to breach, they increase the COVID losses an extra £2.5m to help those that were heading for points deductions.
Showing exactly why an independent regulator is needed for the game.
Even if an extra £2.5m allowance wouldn't have prevented us from breaching, how is it fair to go moving the goalposts midway through the season?
Duck off with your no vendettas, I hope whoever buys this club takes the EFL to court and absolutely destroys them, QC would have a field day against this lot.
