What another mess of an EFL statement
what does it say - it says the administrators can go to  arbitration or go to high court - Go to high court please and quickly
EfL are saying they will kick us out of the league if don’t comply with paying the parasites by means of a legal administration procedure kick us out then
The EFL are at last trying to organise a meeting between stakeholders (some who are not in administration?) I assume that’s because the politicians are asking why aren’t the EFL doing anything to resolve anything.
Middlesbrough apparently started a claim last January whilst no date given for Wycombe (inconsistent)
it’s taken the EFL until the 3rd of February 2022 to ask for a meeting to take place - absolutely abysmal leadership

And I worry also that arbitration sounds a bit like 'Well give them half then..' which is no more viable and thus pointless. Arbitration is just a way of finding a compromise position/number not deciding right vs wrong but anything that is not a tiny fraction of the insane numbers claimed is just not going to happen and even a tiny fraction is going to have to come straight out of the pockets of a potential owner because the club hasn't got a pot to piss in, in fact it has about minus 50 million pots. As we have seen, potential owners are not going to take well to taking any kind of additional hit unless possibly it is a token amount hence no PB still.
And before poorly informed lunatics from other clubs with an exe to grind say "Wah wah wah.. sell some players then", well in case you hadn't noticed 1) We have, (what is it) 5/6 players sold or contracts expired in the past few weeks alone ? plus all those who walked last summer and 2) Much of the rest of the squad is out of contract in the summer due to endless embargoes so is worth sod all in transfer fees. We are left with the vast majority of this paper thin squad this year has been young lads, frees and players on the brink of retirement and the odd journeyman who have performed absolute heroics in an impossible situation and we are immensely proud of each and every one of them.

No matter what the outcome of our situation I would of thought there must be an independent in depth review of the EFL's role in all this.

The EFL are extremely disappointed that all parties could not come to a resolution, after review we would like to clarify our position is as follows, the EFL do/do not consider Middlesbrough and Wycombe to be football creditors.
Don't get me wrong, I'm fully aware that is not a they all live happily ever after ending, it's not, but it would break the stalemate.
I'm yet to see any alternative solutions as I say that would leave all parties satisfied and my primary concern is that of Derby County. If Boro want to thrash it out in court with the EFL, go for it, Rick Parry has admitted on a podcast their handling of this has been poor.
I just want to go into the summer, looking forward to seeing our club rebuild.

They're a disgrace, I wouldn't ever wish liquidation on Boro under any circumstances, let them spew their bile. Judging our entire fan base by a minority of Twitter trolls. Were the vast majority of us winding up opposition fans on Twitter regarding flouting FFP? Get real...we're a family club for all generations for the most part, not internet keyboard warriors. Supposedly, according to some, total cessation of existence of a founder member of the Football League is appropriate punishment for *preventing a Middlesborough side getting a 6th place in the Championship with a side that had not a cat in hell's chance of winning those playoffs. *Contestable in itself. We're not bitter or suing QPR and Villa, both financially doped, who prevented us from promotion in a playoff final, let alone a 6th place finish. Life goes on...
I too only recall the fans forums where the fans were repeatedly petitioning Mel and Pearce for confirmation that the club was meeting FFP. We were given assurances not to worry our little heads and all was fine. We're not accountants - we're football fans and the majority took our CEO and Chairman for their word when they told us we were compliant. And supposedly we were all to know that the EFL would seemingly change their minds on an amortisation policy and then years after the fact (once events had caught up sufficiently to implicate themselves) would then decide the most satisfactory outcome, to deflect heat off their own incompetence, would be to set the dogs on Derby County. Most of my disdain is reserved for the EFL, and not Boro incidentally. Us turning on Boro or them on us was entirely preventable had the EFL done their jobs, starting about 4 years ago. They are ultimately responsible, Boro will plunge the knife but the EFL has set it up.

I'm only just catching up with posts from yesterday, but where I believe the EFL are taking a pedantic and erroneous line is that they are effectively saying that these claims must be treated as debts owed to Football Creditors simply because the claimants are football clubs. This is patent nonsense, because they don't arise from any kind of transaction between DCFC and the Claimants. It's not what the Football Creditors rules were designed for. I imagine HMRC think this is bollo too.
Bear in mind that every £ these two chancers are paid is a £ that genuine unsecured Creditors won't see. The EFL should not be placing them above genuine creditors. It's disgraceful.

What the EFL are doing is within their own rules. Their rules state something along the lines that where two member Clubs are in dispute the arbitration and decision of award falls within the jurisdiction of a LAP.
I am no Lawyer, but there must be very strong legal argument that statute (Law of the Land) top trumps EFL rules, and no doubt Quantuma will be taking legal counsel to see if they can injunct the EFL who are (probably) preventing legal process under the Insolvency Act 1986. I would think a Court of Law would agree that it is not possible for the EFL to stymie a defined and documented statutory process because of league rules. Especially with £60m of confirmed creditors waiting for some payment because a curly haired w@nkstain in Middlesboro has a bit of a beef with our former owner.
The problem I think for Quantuma is costs; we haven’t got a pot to piss in. What we need now are a few wealthy supporters to gift ringfenced monies to DCFC to fight a legal action. It isn’t probably going to help us this transfer window, and we can probably discount being in the Championship next season, but injuncting the EFL to desist invoking petty rules should mean that the process of sale can continue, the Club survives, and existing creditors can recover some of the monies owed to them. Additionally, which will be a significant bonus, the process might see the EFL, and current Football Regulation generally, swept away and put in the hands of an independent regulator fit to oversee our once beautiful game.
