I am cool with him mate. He just keeps on asking me about when my first game that I attended was. I don't understand his (if that is his preferred pronoun) wanting to know this information. It has nothing to do with the topic in hand.

    It’s an accumulation of things
    Unattractive football
The size of our club being stuck in League 1
Our rivals doing alot better than us
No real success for god knows how many years
The recent demise of our club through no fault of the fans

No they are not. Our current crop could tear most of this league up - nit perhaps to the level thar Ipswich and Plymouth did, but our knock on the door of automatics could be pretty loud. But it is not. Because what our current crop have to offer is being wasted. As has already been pointed out, even James Maddison and Phil Foden would look like journeyman in this team because we play the ball so wide that we are in danger of each pass giving a throw-in away.
That is the frustration - that we are capable of so much more. I am not advocating his return because he too is a one trick pony who is easily found out, but Steve MaClaren would get this team on a great winning run because he finds the team’s strengths and plays to them.

We are grumpy because despite all of the reasons why we are in League One, deep down we all know we expect to be higher up the pyramid.
The longer we are down here the worse it will get.

Still having a club considering how worried we all were 18 months ago.
For some people that's the most important thing, I started going with my dad and grandad, when my grandad died it was just me and my dad, before I was born my dad used to go with my grandad, now my dad is no longer with us and my daughter comes sometimes, when you're board at half time waiting for the second half and you think about the good times your family have had at the club, it kind of puts it into perspective.
For me still having a club to support, carrying on the family tradition of supporting Derby, hoping my grand-kids will also continue it - is more important than winning promotion. (don't get me wrong I would love to get promoted)

We're grumpy because the football's awful, we're already 10 points adrift and there seems no plan/strategy we can look to and justifiably hope things will improve. Before the season started, the majority view on here in our poll was that the minimum expectation for the season was promotion. That looks an awfully long way away, and fast disappearing over the horizon.
Failure to be promoted would be the lowest point in the history of the club. We've never spent three consecutive years in the third tier.

I get what you say about our rivals doing well. Notts C and Mansfield are having good seasons. As for Florists , I have always been suprised how many fans around me have followed their matches , while we are playing . It’s seems their demise is as important as our success. Unfortunately they are light- years ahead of us at the moment , but football is a funny game .

Leeds have the same problem with people re-selling tickets. I believe they now randomly pick fans to make them collect their tickets at the away ground and they need to provide Id when they are handed over. A possible idea for us

The hallmark of a good coach/manager is to improve his players , I don’t think Warne is doing this . Many of them are worse than when they came

"social" media (overall SM not just here) is full of "scoreboard warriors" again. Eejits going mental because we drew at Cheltenham. To put it into perspective, Bolton lost 1-3 at home to Carlisle.

More perspective. 62% possession. 17 shots to their 6. 8 on target to their 12. According to the "warriors" we were crap. In that case Cheltenham must have been awful. In reality, the game is all about goals and our luck seems to have been out. 2 NML efforts were well off target. Cash had one saved by the keeper, another blocked on the line by a defender. Collo mis-hit one giving the keeper an easy save, the one he did catch properly was straight at the keeper. On another day we'd have had more than one to show for our efforts but that's what defenders and keepers are there for, to prevent goals. We don't have a divine right to romp away with games.

The keyboard warriors also seem to have missed the fact that their other point this season came away at Pompey and they are top... add in new manager syndrome...

I was surprised Max was back on the bench following his performance at Blackpool. He started the 2nd half exceedingly well and had us encamped in their half. Never mind, PW to Cheltenham's rescue, Hourihane on and Max moved upfield and not getting the ball... CH didn't exactly set the world alight. He may be skipper but I don't think he's worthy of a start at the moment.

NML was very ineffective. He needs a rest but is now jetting off halfway round the world with his Guatemalan teammates. Following the break he needs to have some time on the bench.

Their goal? Bad choice of move by Fornah who was a mere shadow of his previous performances in a Derby shirt. A gift for their first goal of the season.

I feel for Sibley. Getting little to no game time and when he does it's never in his favoured position. Must be frustrating for the lad.

PW will have had his reasons for the starting XI and his choice of subs and positional changes. They were not the ones I would have made.

1st half showed a lack of urgency/sharpness from the Rams. 2nd half started very well until CHs introduction, IMO. That destroyed much of the momentum. Last 10 to 15 saw them utilise a massed defence and we couldn't break it down.

Still 3/4 of the season to go. The potential is there to do well. I just hope team selection is more Blackpool than Cheltenham.

I find it hard to understand that away games in the cup are more desirable than home games in the cup competitions. I am a season ticket holder and have an away membership. I try and go to at least 5 away games every season,I’d love to do more but there is a lot of costs involved so I go to the ones that are nearest , usually within 1-1 and a half hours away. Because we go as a couple it’s double everything, ie travel, tickets etc  so we drive as it’s cheaper than coach or train x 2. We went to every cup away match last season, and every home cup game to support Derby, and will do this season if possible. The home cup games are really cheap but they are poorly attended, but away to Notts county is dearer but more sought after. Also, I think it’s unfair that the away cup game don’t count on the away criteria for tickets. If that was allowed my criteria would be higher but that’s the rule and I respect it, but because our budget doesn’t allow us to go to more league games away we are penalised for supporting the home and away cup games. I would welcome other fan’s views on this. I was at the Lincoln game and was disappointed at the low attendance, it was actually a really good game and deserved more support.

Quite how the goalie kicking the opposition forward between the legs from the back doesn't constitute a foul I'm not sure, but who knows these days!

On the positive side, the defence looks solid and we’ve only lost one game in the last six. On the negative side, our home form is awful. Only two wins in the last league 11 games and that’s against Fleetwood and Burton.
