This was Southgates Lampard playoff final moment, his substitutions were horrific tonight. Apparently we’ve practiced penalties constantly leading up to this. Why, why, why, why do that stupid stutter run against one of the best goalkeepers on world football, the guy is 6”5 and we’re ******* around with soft stupid penalties.
what I must say here though, all props to Saka to stepping up to take a penalty when our “senior” players hid in the shadows, I sincerely hope he isn’t to badly affected by this, well don’t young man and keep that chin up.

Massive missed opportunity for me. Southgate is very likeable, but his selections are so negative, maybe have faith in some of our world class attackers who should start instead of being on the bench.

55 years ago, we contrived to get my dad on the right shift at work so nine year old me and my mum could watch the World Cup final. (Dad hated football.)

Will have come down to wage demands I would imagine. We just don’t have the capacity to offer his old terms at the minute  and he’s probably got 2 contracts left in him if he’s lucky so he will obviously want as much as he can possibly Get. Then there was the delay in any new contract we can offer due to the embargo etc. Plus don’t forget we actually didn’t pay our players on time last season and it isn’t the first time.
Coventry are a much more stable club than us at the minute and will more than likely finish higher than us like they did last season. 
I don’t blame him for putting his family and job security first

Hopefully the first thing any new owner(s) does / do is to completely overhaul our recruitment strategy. 
Our squad is at the point of rebuild and has a good foundation to build upon. No more 1 season wonders or journeymen with absolutely no resale value please!
