EssendonRam reacted to europia in Questions for our saviour Mr. David Clowes
There are circa 50 million reasons why Mr Clowes isn't obliged to answer those questions.

If I was him I wouldn't even consider answering 6. So many variables a d would want to keep all options open.

1. Was it not possible to appoint Warne during the summer so that he could assemble the squad that he would have wanted? No
2.Did Warne assure him that he could work with the current squad or is he expecting a lot of trading during upcoming transfer windows? (And follow up: how frustrating would that be?). Yes, and second, 'a few new faces'
3. Does he and Warne put much emphasis on the Academy, including recruitment of young talent and Category 1 status? Yes
4. Was the aim promotion this season or, given Warne's 4 year contract, the bigger picture is the Derby County rebuild with promotion as and when it happens? Rebuild stability
5. Are targets - e.g. regarding league position, academy graduates breaking into the first team - being set? Yes
6.Onto more general things: over what timescales does he see himself as the owner? Having been reluctant in the first instance, would he be looking to sell? Soon? In the Championship? In the Premier League? Impossible to tell
7. Given Warne's title is Head Coach rather than Manager, will the club be appointing a Director of Football to oversee transfers, playing strategies etc? No.

1. We wouldn't have had time to approach a manager employed by another club and also get a squad together. Also he probably didn't know who he wanted at that stage.

Is there any planned meetings between our owner, guardian and saviour with the supporters groups?
If so, there are so many questions that I am sure many would like to ask, particularly about the plans for the future of the club.
So, to get started, my questions would focus on the manager. Nope, I hope this doesn't become yet another Rosenior versus Warne thread; I would just like to better understand Clowes' thinking and whether promotion is a short term goal or the bigger picture involves restructuring of the entire football club, no matter how long that takes. So...

I'll answer for myself rather than everybody else.
I love stats like this, even when they are largely meaningless.
But it's fine and reasonable that you're not interested.

To be fair, Burt’s eyesight may not be the best.
Wasn’t it you, @BurtonRam7, who mistook the Ram’s horn for a beady little eye? ??

You're meant to wake up with a dog after a night out, not before!

I remember that day well.
From giving Wassall a verbal volley (admittedly not my finest moment), to singing along with Old Blue Eyes was about 5 seconds, maybe we should whack Frank on after every disappointing match!
Certainly chilled me out.

My preference is FOR the Radio Derby team, not AGAINST the Rams TV commentary TBH.
Jack's not my favourite but I don't really have an issue with his commentary.
But, as an Australian, Radio Derby has been my connection to the club for years. I was an early subscriber to the previous app (the name of which momentarily escapes me) and switched to Rams TV from the start.
For all of the frustrating aspects of the Radio Derby coverage, I'm used to channelling my passion for the club via Rampage...and enjoy him for almost the same reasons most Derbyshire-based fans find him annoying.

I'm not even on Twitter, but I was watching with my son, who is.
Ping, looks at phone then mutters FFS!
Told him to leave it in another room for the rest of the game, you'd have thought I'd asked to saw his arm off the look he gave me!

Both of these are superb suggestions.
For yesterday's game I just had to turn off the video commentary it was sooo bad.
I listened to Radio Derby on my phone and watched TV. Even though it lagged about 20 seconds behind the video, it was preferable to the commentator on Rams TV.

I think the common used term is “agent Fisher” when talking about such activities.
Was it the season when they got relegated? Good work.

I'm guessing you mean Martin Fisher, from Match of the Day.
He actually had a stint as the Forest commentator at Radio Nottm. Did it fantastically well, despite being a Ram!

@David can lend you some.
watch him deny it.

May I say that @OwenB87 commentary was very good tonight.
Not afraid to leave pauses whilst the ball is in play. Mr Edworthy complements him well too.
Well done to both of you.
The studio seems a lot brighter too. I don’t know if it’s lit differently or my device was set too low last time.
I believe in giving praise as well as criticism.
Well done to the RamsTv team.

We have a far superior service than most in our league, if not the best. It’s a shame the red buttons effected the return on the investment this season.

I think it's a bit unfair to compare RamsTV to the likes of Sky and BT. You have to think about the amounts of equipment it takes to create a live event on Sky and BT these days, and RamsTV just cannot compete with that.
The sound quality on RamsTV has come along way since last season also, so I'm sure this will get better as time goes on.

At least 2 gig.
sit in a local supermarket that gives free WiFi.
Every little helps.

EssendonRam reacted to Owen87ITK in RamsTV Feedback
I must say, I remain slightly baffled by the desire of many for this.
The biggest complaint I see about Jack's commentary is that he talks too much . . . you'd get even more talking from the radio comms, if anything!
As I'm learning from doing 23s, 18s and the odd first-team game, commentating for TV is a very different skill to radio commentary.
Technically I think it's too much of a challenge for us to sort anyway.
On your other suggestion, I'll mention it again here, but I don't really have any say on that side of things!

That's nothing... Some fans knew it was Keogh's fault we conceded before the game had even started!
