A personal view shared by many I strongly suspect.

That's worrying considering some of the wages we paid in league 1. Aware we want to be ran sensibly but larger revenue streams thru several avenues should mean larger wage structure 

I know he gets a lot of stick from some clueless fans but I would have Gary Rowett back (he fell out with Mel Morris which is why he was forced to leave).
He did wonders at Millwall with a very low budget and got them to the play offs a few times. Not the most exciting style of football but effective and is currently without a club so would cost nothing in payoffs. He knows how to wheel and deal so could be a good fit in our current situation.

Are we selling Cashin to Brighton after all?

My personal opinion is we are waiting and hoping for a bid from Brighton for Cashin so we can make a move.
I also think that was why Cashin came off (and he was angry about it) for concussion. I could be wrong, but I think we panicked and brought him off to protect him and Cashin knew full well he was fit enough to carry on.
I think if Cashin was to go a few then arrive. Like last time, if it doesn't happen I feel like we may get 1 more.

This is insanely odd situation. Quite frankly the way it's being handled is a disgrace. I would expect if they are adamant he won't just us till late August we will switch targets.

Big game tonight, even as far as friendlies go.
We get to see the real deal tonight. Tactics, potential line up, who will play up front, etc.
More importantly, for me, we may get a transfer update from Warney. Things seem a little to quiet with the new season 9 days away.

Wouldnt work as wingback, isn't a striker. Could potentially have played as an inside forward in a 343 formation but Warne doesn't to the play formations with out and out wingers by choice. The blacket Taylor deal looks stranger by the day.

Fee agreed, no contract signed, whats to stop someone matching or improving on our fee? He isn't our player until medical is passed and contract signed. We're a minimum until the 2nd leg of their qualification match. Plenty can change. Players have been showcased on the pitch before choosing other teams

I'm not sure this has been handled well at all, although its unclear who has dropped the ball. 
It's been broadcast to the world exactly how much we've agreed to pay, giving any other club a full week to attempt to swoop in and snatch him at a higher price if they want. It's never done until he's signed on the dotted line.

The one position we can leave relatively late is keeper, as other than sharpness and communication, pre-season isn't crazy important. Of course, the longer they have to get settled and comfortable the better, but they're relatively plug and play.
Different note, but how cool is it to be linked with exciting players with international and European experience? We've not been linked with Gregory, Sharpe OR Martin Smith so far! Refreshing!
