How can you be so sure?

The last time we had a prolonged run in the Premier League, in our 3rd season (1998-1999) out of our 19 home games we only got more than 30,000 on 7 occasions. It wasn't a season we struggled at the wrong end of the table. I don't know what the official capacity was that season but there were more than 32,000 on 4 occasions. Maybe the away end didn't sell out but, from what I can see, there were less than 30,000 for the visits of Leeds (of course they would have sold out 😀), Leicester, Sheffield Wednesday and Villa. I would have thought all of these would have either sold out or got very close.

I reckon, before there should be any thoughts of extending the stadium we'd need much than just 2 seasons in the PL and pretty much sell out every game. PP is obviously plenty big enough for league 1, is about right for the Championship and not far off for the PL. As others have said, it probably just needs a bit of cosmetic work. Safe standing in the South Stand would be much more of a priority than extending as far as I'm concerned.

We pretty much sell out PP in the third division. There aren't that many seats free for the bigger games and I think a lot of those are season ticket holders that can't make the game for whatever reason. In those previous seasons you mention those season ticket holders were counted as being present. I think there would be mileage in extending the South stand even if not anywhere else. My 15 year old son and his mates would love to go in there but its sold out. I reckon there are loads of younger fans who would be the same

If cashin goes and fozzys is let go and Davies and Chester we need

    3 cbs

    2 wingbacks

    2 midfielders and 2 strikers

If we can get him I expect warne to go for ogbene from Rotherham but he will prob stay in championship and if he stays down the league I’d go for branagan from Oxford

Just the 9 players then. Why on earth do we need to have 2 more midfielders if Bird, Knight, Hourihane, Sibley and Thompson are still here(they aren't on your list)? However I think that Knight and Bird will go. If I were Warne I'd be happy if somebody came in for Hourihane too. Then we would need 2 or 3 new midfielders  I think we will keep Cashin

Not all available tickets are shown on line. Club stated, 29000 tickets had been “issued” yesterday. There will be plenty available for walk ups today. If we get over 30k it will be a good turnout

I love his work ethic, I don't mind his grumpiness, but...in my opinion he's the worst centre forward we've ever had as our main man. His second touch is always a tackle.

    Connor Sammon was miles better.

Theo Robinson was on a different planet.

Sorry Collo, but he's got to go.

You don't go back as far as I do given the players you have as examples to compare him with but you are still right. He's right up there with Bobby Campbell, Billy Caskey and Steve Biggins. He's a total donkey

In my opinion you're completely wrong here.

Rosenior had the brains to see this team and the players we had available to sign can't play a pressing style of football and were more suited to a passing game, which is clear to see as the players look shattered at half time every game when we press, hence our shocking second half performances. Warne hasn't adapted to the squad he inherited and is trying too hard to play his pressing chaotic football but it doesn't work against the top sides and they can easily exploit it. Warne needs to adapt and have a Plan B, because his Plan A hasn't been working for months.

No, that's just the way the Rosenior believes the game should be played. He didn't adapt our style to suit the players

Just had a look, 8 pages on the Derby thread, nothing about the game!

8 pages of, can I sit where I want, can I stand where I want, allocated seats, fireworks, flares, drums, turning up late, blocking the aisles, fireworks again, police dogs, will I be able to see anything, sit down, stand up, Derbys a sh***ole I want to go home, stand up, sit down, you’re in my seat pal.

just a wild guess ………………but, I reckon it’s a big day out for them!

That's the trouble. A lot of these teams try that bit harder when they come to our place. You might say that Shef Wed and Ipswich face the same problem, but I don't think they do. This season we are the new, novelty big scalp

Not seen much from him yet to make me think he would take Birds place in the team.

Think Bird has been a massive loss for us and its no coincidence we are not really controlling games since he has been injured.

Bird is a far better player than Harvey, certainly at the moment. They are both still young and it remains to be seen who develops furthest. There is absolutely zero chance of Bird not coming back into the team as soon as he is fit
