Seems to me those at the top were probably persuaded to sign it off by animations similar to the one they show of hs2 every now and again...the one with the high speed train and then lines quickly moving north linking the cities. "Wow it looks amazing and seems so easy to do".

Who would use hs2? A few business blokes who can afford the ticket price to get somewhere 1/2 hour quicker? Freight's been mentioned but seems a bit of a bottleneck for that (one or two rail north, one or two south) unless I am missing something?
Of all the information out there, I cannot find anything that shows the expected passenger count. 1000 a week? A million? 10?

The best dreams are lucid ones (you realise it's a dream and not reality). I usually tell people in it they are in my dream!

Almost completely harmless to humans though, despite well trodden, lazy movie tropes.
They might get cocky if they were our size!

Never thought we'd have that record fa cup final defeat equalled but it happened in our lifetime. Hope it does not take a hundred years for the 11 point one to be beaten/equalled though!

Couple over the road from me have 2 EVs - think one is a Kia and the other a VW - both smallish 'city' cars...
What model kia is it? Website states cheapest model on road price is £40k+ I would not be able to finance £40k car. Still unsure about a second hand one or buying process. Do they tell you battery strength and how long they will last? Is mileage a good indication?

The only vehicles in the ads seem to be expensive suv types. Are there any smaller, cheaper ones or do they have less range than these? My petrol car is 15 years old, low milage and still going strong. Will an ev still be "going strong" after 15 years with low milage? Not sure about the battery tech so any info most welcome!

Is that yours? Love those old home computers. My BBC Micro still works after nearly 40 years. Had new power supply fitted (they all do after so long) and still loads some of my disks (although quickly copied to memory card solution).

Do we risk further injuries in an irrelevant game for first team regulars 🤔
I said we should have rested Thorne before such a game (v Ipswich after we were already in playoffs) and got criticized. Look how that ended.

Give him rest of season. Had we beaten Portsmouth (unbeaten in 17) I am sure there would be more votes for that...small margins.

Scotland had their tails up with recent results and were well up for this. Home ground v England = Extra player imo. Good result for England. Bellingham is the flair player we have needed for years...class and will make a difference I am sure. Dunk got involved and did well. Australia next and similar to Scotland, will be up for it. Italy will be a good test.

Nobody on netflix. Death Wish/Taken/Extraction genre. Christopher Lloyd in a minor supporting role I kid you not! 8/10.
