Fornah was a poorly researched purchase, who we only wanted on loan initially, and was signed without any clear evidence of an understanding of what his abilites are or how to fit him into the team.  As I said on the Adams thread, I'm glad we've rectified the mistake (to a degree, because we still have Fornah taking up a wage) but it shouldn't have been made in the first place.
If we wanted him to offer the same attributes and impact as we got from Adams it might have helped if we actually played him in the same system a bit? Rather than shoving him in as the more advanced mifielder in a two in front of Korey Smith.
He made his debut on 26th August but it wasn't until 8 games later he featured in the same midfield as Hourihane & Bird, and he's only had 272 minutes (182 in the league) across 5 games on the pitch at the same time as them since.

The way it's being twisted toward being Fornah's fault is a bit odd IMO

tbf, we've just nabbed their most dangerous player off them for a measly fee and then not even bothered to play him against them, and they've just signed a load of players seemingly at random who'll need (apparently) a few months to settle, signings not even chosen by the manager who's had about a day to come in and analyse the whole mess, all while on a 13 game winless run, so they've got a fair few excuses for being a bit s***.
It does always amaze me how much people big up other teams squads while making out ours is average.
 

Agree with this. I was frustrated by our inability to slow the tempo of the match down & way we were surrendering possession when they had the ascendancy. Couple of times late on Collins got the ball from a break & tried to flick it on rather than holding it, looking for an easy sideways ball & enabling the team to move up the field. Earlier on in the match, there were a fair amount of 'aerial hooks' to no-one in particular (Hourihane particularly guilty of this) which enabled them to receive possession easily & come back at us.
The team obviously deserve credit for defending with real purpose (especially late on) but the point is it maybe didnt have to be so dramatic if we'd controlled the ball better.

I turned it down, don't fancy working weekends.

He's right of course but one follows the other. If what we see on the pitch is chaotic, half-arsed rubbish then the support will be half-arsed rubbish. When we see commitment and competence then it will be supported in kind. But chicken and egg. Today was better, if we keep getting better we'll be fine.

so many that hate warne and his style … and at its worse its god awful to watch.

look at the stats, tightest at the back in the league, away record that is seldom seen at our club and uv got a bunch of players there that are putting their bodies on the line for the full 90….. for our club and this manager that a small minority think the players hate playing for.
were doing the dogged stuff that wins games, were earning the right to win games. Its not pretty but its a style of play that others have succeeded with just not one weve become accustomed to over the last however many years

A lot of the game was played in our half but we didn’t really look like conceding. Adams and Bird played well in midfield but Hourihane was bypassed so many times again. He did calm things down a bit at the end. 

Vickers still worries me. He doesn’t know whether to stick or twist on crosses. Collins battled well. NML took his goal well and hopefully isn’t too badly injured.
Barkhuisen has bright moments then gives the ball away. Not first choice for me.
Sibley did okay at LB, Ward put some lovely crosses in.
Back three just about managed to get in the way of everything.
1-0 is always nervy but I think we looked more like scoring than they did.

I suppose not “all” of us can waste numerous hours typing about their confusion and accusing others of all sorts, about what they choose to post.

Just thinking back to how many Derby teams in the past we've seen crumbling when the opposition gets a bit nasty. Glad they stood up to it today.

They've never been anything special,  some people just convinced themselves  otherwise off the back of two 20 minute spells where we got it wrong and let them have the freedom of the park and then sat back and let them pile the pressure on.
(We nullified and exposed their defence in between those 2 spells)
