Because I only turn up during defeat? Not been on here all afternoon? Not at all happy that we’ve won?
I’m negative when we lose, positive when we win. It’s hardly rocket science. Some people seem incapable of seeing criticism when it’s warranted.

Happy we have the goal, if we carry on like this it might not even be enough.

Need some width here and more compusure.

Bradley/Wildsmith mix up. Bradley puts his foot on it, Wildsmith can't pick it up and has to put his boot through it. Straight at Burton player and cannons over the bar.

A good 10 minutes followed up by 35 minutes of dross. A couple of calamitous moments at the back to boot. I’m hoping we can see a much better performance this second half, NML and Smith are really off it. I’d look to sub both at half-time. You know with NML that his day isn’t going to magically get any better, he’s a strong starter who depreciates through the game - well he should’ve scored and hasn’t looked at it since. Smith isn’t managing the game anywhere near as well - Thompson deserves the latter 45 minutes IMO.
We just need a win, honestly, so let’s keep things fresh and see if we can get a second early in the second half.

No control. No midfield. Hit & hope.

Derby are running a lot and, other than that, there doesn't seem to be too much more to the gameplan.
I really hope we are not going to be a kick-it-long-and-chase-it team but you couldn't blame someone for assuming that's us now 😞

Just haven’t had the quality in those moments that matter. NML X2 and Bird wasteful in the final third, all in great positions.

Glad we’re winning but this performance is terrible again. No chance we see this through the 90 mins.

You can see how a player like their number 4 would almost transform our midfield in place of Smith. Big, mobile, athletic box to box. That Knight replacement people are calling for.

Deserved a red for instructing the groundsman to mow it like a speedway track.

I think was more of a “don’t know what I’m supposed to be doing” tbh.  Nobody knowing whether to hold their position or close down.  Epitomised by the second goal, where at least 3 Derby players all went to close their right wingback at the same time, and one simple pass took them all out of the game and they’re breaking down our left.

Loving the new profile pic - my favourite animal and loved seeing them off California coast.  However, when Warne gets us promoted and you post a real pic of you in a Paul Warne bobble hat then you will be loved 😂
Seriously have no idea how this season will pan out but we do need pace from somewhere. Guess we'll have more realistic idea by end of September. Glass half full person but should know different by now with this club of ours. I do feel guilty for brainwashing my sons into a life of misery with my dad having done the same to me

Sharp would have been great 10-15 years ago. Now he's an old poacher, past his best who doesn't like the club or its fans and for many the feeling is mutual. Why on earth would we think about signing him is beyond me.

After a night to reflect I have to same I am concerned by yesterdays game 😞
Don’t want to be a wrist slasher but too many of the issues that we had last season have not been addressed.
Yes it’s obvious we need to strengthen the forward line but the midfield is just not right either - Bird and Hourihane does just not work - it’s not creative but it’s not combative either.
Early days but there is a lot of work to be done and all eyes are going to be on Warne - if he didn’t realise he isn’t at Rotherham before he will be now !

He was doing an impression of how Wildsmith should have cleared that cross.

    Well I'm worn out.....
7 hours plodding around chessington world of adventures in a constant heavy rain punctuated only by 2 torrential downpours of biblical proportions.......
I missed the match and am convinced I've contracted trench foot 🙄

One of the things I noticed today was how half-hearted the half-time sub warm-up looked.
Like a Sunday morning team. Walking around, tapping the ball to each other absent-mindedly. No one looked desperate to get on today. Thought it was odd that Wilson warmed up, stripped off ready to come on, then we conceded the second ( thus making improvement more important) and he got changed and stayed off.
The substitutions were too late today. I’d have taken Bradley off(Cashin is the best footballer of the three), Hourihane was shattered, and Collins dropped deeper and deeper, thus leaving no one in the opposition box for crosses.
Appreciate Elder and Washington have been injured but neither set the pulse racing in their brief time on the pitch. Let’s hope they can establish some sort of presence.
Ward got some nice crosses in and Wilson briefly shone with some nice footwork but then had more failures than successes. The recruitment to date isn’t looking great but I’ll give it a few weeks before I write them off.
Everyone at the club was saying that pre-season was great, morale was great, very exciting times etc. Today looked like the last game of a pub football tour.
Some home truths needed in the changing-room.

Warne needs to understand that pressing doesn’t work unless everyone does it well. And with Bird and Hourihane in the midfield, there are too many (physically) weak links. Once you strip Warne of the silly hats and chummy schoolboys quips, I wonder what is left. The season started today, not when the loan window ends.

Always disappointing to lose the opening game after the excitement of the new season starting.
Not time to panic yet as a long way to go and im sure we will bring in a few new faces before the transfer window ends.
I just really feel like we are lacking pace all over the pitch and some genuine quality up front.
I think the defence will come good but looks like if they push up they will be susceptable to pace in behind and counter attacks.
A lot to do if we want to go up automatically.

Yeah, can anyone explain why we bought a roughty toughty 6’4” defender if he’s not going to take responsibility for a centre forward?
