Worth noting Fleetwood and Burton look strong relegation contenders this season

Shrewsbury (D), Fleetwood (L), Ipswich (L), MK Dons (D), Burton (W), Portsmouth (L), Wigan (L), Blackpool (L), Oxford (L), Fleetwood (W), Portsmouth (D).
One's a cup game, which leaves 9 points from 10 games. At home, in the third tier.

That’s terrible and remember this is the third tier

Thought we'd managed to sneak a jammy 1-0, but no, of course not. Can't say they didn't deserve a draw on balance of play.
We need a drastic tactical rethink because this clearly isn't working for us. It's going to be a long, disappointing season I fear.

We are living up to our league one status. We have hit the level and I can honestly say the performance was rubbish.

You've seen us play, right? Bar half an hour against Burton and Peterborough we've been utter dross.

So frustrating, I thought they missed their chance in injury time when they headed over. Really poor game management once we took the lead and another poor performance under this manager.

No chance we'll be bothering the top six playing the way we do.

Defending is diabolical. We just hoof it out straight back to the opposition inviting them back to us. It is terrible.

Turned it off.
Really crap way to finish the game off.
Just when I was about to say "scrappy win but I'll take it" after seeing poor game management from us since we scored. Why we was trying to thred passes through the eye of a needle when we are defending a late goal i dont know. We needed to keep it simple, play the ball back and keep it. Instead we sat back and invited them onto us.
Really Really annoying

Unless there was a slight touch on Fozzy, that was a good foot or so offside. Still no excuse to inviting that much pressure.

He shouldn't be playing international football at his age, its bloody ridiculous, he doesn't have a 90 minute engine anyway, to be playing extra games is criminal.

Good grief! I thought because she was almost without fault and performed like a real referee that she would never be allowed near a Derby County match ever again!

Archie Gemmill. Not our greatest ever player but the best midfielder we’ve ever had with skill, pace off the mark, tackling and an indomitable spirit that refused to accept losing. He would transform this team and any we’ve had over the last 25 years as well, through force of personality alone. Willie Carlin on steroids and Willie transformed what became a really good side. Archie was better.

The King, Kevin's goals would have us out of this league at the first time of asking.

Starting to get the feeling you're not a fan of our manager, would I be close at all?

I don’t like our current style of play, I think it’s limited, doesn’t get the best out the squad that we have, burns players out through pointless running for the sake of running, it’s predictable and disjointed.
We don’t seem able to pass the ball more than 3 times without losing possession or punting it long to no one and then gift the ball back to the opposition. We cause ourselves to have to run more to retrieve the ball back, over the course of the season this will leave us with a squad that’s shattered and Warne out…….. Sorry, worn out. 😁

In our last home game v Fleetwood , they were running rings round us for the last 15 mins. We were all baying for the final whistle . When it came there was a feeling of relief at a 1-0 win. Did I enjoy it ? I suppose so .The style of football was of little concern at that point. The big question is - Did David Clowes enjoy it ?

Don't agree with that at all to be honest.
Heres an example, playing under clough we were a fairly average mid table championship side. Mac comes in and implements an attacking, passing style of play, with the exact same players, and we transformed into promotion material.
Yes the rebuild has had to be cheap, but thanks to a clever and widely respected rosenior, we were able to attract some quality players, especially for this level. Why do we need to have spirit, fitness, organisation and play pragmatic football to get out this division. That will just make us like 95% of the other teams. We need to be better than them, not the same. How can you say trying to pass our way out of this division with this squad would be a disaster? The vast majority of our squad are used to playing that way and were signed with that style of play in mind.
Why do we have to give it this season and next season to try for promotion? We have the players now, we just need someone who knows how to use them.
