I'd refer you back to page 1 (I know it's been a long time since then)
Coles suggested that we've pre-submitted the accounts to the EFL for them to check them over before the 'officially' submit them - Top ensure that when they are submitted there's no chance of the EFL rejecting them for any reason
It's a sensible approach (I think) after the previous troubles - But leaves us at the mercy of the EFL taking their sweet time to approve them
 
 
Just a thought - Anyone think the EFL are manufacturing a points deduction here? If they wait until we've lost our first 2/3 games before allowing us to sign players it's almost as effective as a points deduction...

Morris hasn't got us on a great state but he's far from our worst owner

It's things like "how far we've fallen" that I find odd
We've managed to attract these players to the club - Some who will have had offers from elsewhere - All without a firm contract on the table and only vague ideas of when they might get one - We're obviously still an interesting prospect who can attract players
None of the delays are being caused by the club - The club have made it very clear they want to sign all the players ASAP - We're being held up by the EFL yet again

There is nothing in the statement which suggests the club were in full control of that - HMRC could very easily have turned around and said "no, actually we want the exact amount once you've filed your accounts thank you" - There isn't enough information in the statement to accurately conclude that the club would be able to pay HMRC on their own terms
You can't just read stuff and assume the rest - We have a limited amount of information available to us and we can't assume that idle speculation is correct

Exactly, and the EFL could be asking for anything, including something completely unreasonable, that no other club owner has ever had to/will ever have to agree to, just to put the pressure back onto Mel and the club.
Unless we know exactly what it is he has to ‘sort’ then it’s not as simple as saying ‘well sort it then’.

I mostly agree - I've always thought 2 'senior' players per position was adequate - With any player who's started 15+ games in a single season counting towards that (so Knight, Buchanan, Bird, probably Sibley)
However I think the thing we haven't accounted for is leadership on the pitch - Wisdom and Clarke, whilst having experience, were not defensive leaders - Shinnie is an absolute asset and a terrier but is not a leader - And it was noticeable that without Davies and Bielik last season we didn't have that influence on the pitch 

My understanding was that our illustrious forum leader said that they're under an agreement not to share the content of the meeting until after it's also been shared on the website - So it will be published and he'll be able to tell us if all the information released by the club is as much as was discussed in the meeting
Regardless of that if @David says he's happy with the answers given in the meeting then so am I - I think we have pretty decent and level-headed moderators around here - Open to information from the club/Morris but cynical enough to take it with a pinch of salt - But I appreciate not everyone on here is going to take that line

I'm not convinced on that - Think we're going to see him moved further forwards (as Rooney has indicated)
He's just not a tackler/destroyer/protector for me

Oh yeh - Bielik is head and shoulders above any other player in our side and could have single handedly led us to an easy safe finish last season
But without him we still needed someone to do the defensive role - In that Macca side we had Eustace - We don't have any cover for that role in the current squad
I worry about the damage to his confidence - Obviously a phenomenal talent but I'm not sure he's the kind of player who bounces right back from a bad game - I think he's at his best when he has a point to prove

I think the primary issue is one that only Cocu out of our previous 6 managers (ie, since Mac1) managed to spot is that a big unit who can tackle and provide the defence some cover is pretty much essential for us
But with a couple more leaders/experienced players in that side last year we'd have had more results like the ground out draw against Sheff Weds and fewer late goals and single goal losses

I fully assumed it would be there - Preferably added and then re-locked to save the spam
