Red Dog - one for all the canine lovers on here which I keep forgetting to mention. A wonderful Ozzie flick about a red Kelpie (Ozzie sheepdog) who whilst not having a master, had more than fair his share of mates. A true story that both funny and heartwarming though it did leave me feeling a tad emotional and desperate to rescue a hound or two! Makes me smile every time I think of it now.

Well, safe to say I've never done what the protagonist did in S2 E1 and cracked one off in my mum's car!
I'm just gonna leave this here...

Treadstone - A Bourne trilogy spin-off. Half decent without tearing up any trees. If you liked the movies then I'd give it a go.
Watchmen - Ok, so I'm only 3 episodes in and for some reason I really want to like this show, but at times I've no real idea what I'm watching. It all seems overly contrived and wildly pleased with itself. I'm guessing it's one of those Marmite shows that folk either love of hate so after a brief hiatus I may come back to it.
Line of Duty - Also recently binge-watched the last series. Seemed to attract luke-warm reviews but I actually quite liked it. On balance I'd say the show had been pretty damn decent across the half dozen or so series and did not leacve that 'stayed too long' feeling I get with some series that run as long as this has.

Ok, so just watched Richard Jewell on a hunch. Directed by no lesser man than Clint himself, most of whose directorial output I've really liked, it's an absolute cracker of a movie. I'm a big Sam Rockwell fan which, Eastwood aside, I guess was the hook, but by Sam's standards, this was quite an understated performance and excellent in the circumstances. The real revelation was Paul Walter Hauser is is absolutely top-notch in the title role. Quite brilliant in fact.
Anyways, absolutely loved the movie and can heartily recommend it.

What excellent reviews! Have half a mind to trust you know what you are talking about and I love Ed Norton so will definitely give that one a whirl. Everything I have heard about Terminator has made me think it will continue to wreck the series legacy so again you sound on the money.
Does put me in a rather a quandry though as you gave Ford v Ferrari a great review but I don't really find cars interesting and I thought the trailer looked dull as ditch-water.
If you're not into motorsport I'd give Ford v Ferrari to be honest. Try 1917 or The Irishman instead. Both are great. If you like The Irishman have a look at A Bronx Tale. It's older but something of a hidden gem.

Terminator Dark Fate - features a wise-cracking Linda Hamilton who seems to have developed Tourette's since her last run out. Meanwhile, Arnie has morphed into an empathetic terminator, very much in tune with his feelings, who muses on life, the universe and fag packet philosophy. Grim. A horrible CGI fest and two hours I'll never get back.

Motherless Brooklyn - bit of a creeper but glad I stuck with it as it finished with a deal more gusto than it started. A tad over-hyped, but a decent enough movie all the same. Ed Norton wrote, directed and stars.

Ah. Not read this thread for some time now. Great to see folk are still feeling comfortable talking about stuff they are going through. Even better to be reminded what a caring lot most of the DCFC Fans faithful are.
Anyway, big up to all yous lot. Here's hoping this new year brings some welcome relief to anyone having a tough time of it and for those in a good place, fingers crossed for more of the same.
EDIT - Forgot to say congratulations @David too!

GFs away this weekend and feeling lazy AF so just made a load of cheese sauce and slathered it over some spaghetti. Had a whole packet of minty Clubs for puds. Doubtless be snacking again before midnight. Mental note made to hide all the evidence in the morning.

Can't wait. Such an intriguing match up, weirdly even more so after the first fight. If Tyson can avoid getting tagged then for me he wins comfortably but Wilder's always going to have a puncher's shot. I don't like the guy but I have to respect his power. We could see Tyson holding all the belts this year and when you think about his time in the wilderness, that would be as remarkable an achievement as any I've ever seen in the division. Legendary status awaits if he manages it.

Think the division is the most exciting I remember. The styles are a brilliant mix. Like you said, Wilder would put Ruiz to sleep. Fury would batter him for 12 rounds and Ruiz would look a mess. For AJ he's a nightmare. Yet AJ would be a problem for Wilder because Wilder is vulnerable and AJ hits very hard. That could be a chaotic fight. Fury can beat all of them but doesn't plant his feet. So his defence has to be spot on. He's been dropped what? 3 times in his career? He's not perfect. And as you say Usyk is a perfect all round fighter at Cruiserweight but these guys are 3st heavier some of them. And 5-6 inches taller with the same again in reach.
Fascinating. With Hrgovic, Whyte, Hunter, Povetkin, Parker, Chisora, Gassiev, Ortiz, Bakole, Dubois, Takam and more all with an outside chance like Ruiz did to put themselves in there.
Then if these Cruiserweight's step up to follow Hunter/Usyk... theres a bunch of talent there.
Agree with all of that. On a side note, I admire Usyk a lot as I don't think he's a heavyweight who early doors could do sub 200lbs at a push, rather he seemed pretty comfortable at cruiserweight but ran out of meaningful challengers. I didn't realise he'd dropped Ali Bashir but had noted some marked similarities to Loma, but have just read Loma senior is now training both of them.
On the subject of trainers and training regimes, whatever that Ukrainian dance routine is, if I were a pro boxer I'd be getting me some of that! I only boxed at school and lost as many as I won, but I always preferred to fight a puncher than a technician. Bumps and bruises fade quickly but being made to look daft always hurt me far more and for far longer ?

I bet people have been saying that since the beginning of time.
Same with football and Messi v Pele.
But the athletes and sports science have advanced.
I think Klitschko would be a massive problem for any heavyweight in history.
Nostalgic fans would probably find more enjoyment in the Cruiserweight division. But when these guys step up to fight the big clumsy heavies they find them too big and strong.
Think Fury's return to the fold after his earlier issues has breathed life back into the division myself. I really thought he was done. I couldn't see any plausible way back for him if truth be told. Left me thinking that AJ would absolutely dominate the division but begrudgingly I have to admit that in WIlder, I saw only a guy who'd fought no one but he's proved me wrong too.
Usyk adds further spice to what now appears to be an incredibly competitive division. Is he durable enough to stand with the big lads? Not sure as yet but from a technical standpoint, he has more speed and better footwork than any of them. 2020 is going to be a huge year with some belting match-ups for sure, so this is another occasion where I'm pretty chuffed to have got it all wrong!

Ruiz can take a shot to the head. He just keeps on plodding forward. Id like to see Wilder v Ruiz
No great fan of Wilder's as the man has far more chat than technical ability, but he does have the heaviest hands in the game right now. Ruiz is very durable but far from mobile, especially when he's tipping the scales at over 20 stone. Wilder lays him out for me and Ruiz would struggle to lay a glove on Fury whom whilst lacking the power of Wilder and AJ, has more technical ability than either of them. For the time being, Ruiz is on the outside with no obvious fast route back in.

I’d beat and not just beat, I’d knock all of these wusses out with one hand behind my back. One after the other. You can even make Eddie Hearn the referee to make it fair for them because I’m generous.
Hate how disrespectful some fight 'fans' are. Just 3 one minute rounds feel like a lifetime, or they did to me and it's a hard old way to graft a living.
Pretty much anyone prepared to climb through the ropes has my respect tbh and whilst Ruiz is not in the same bracket as the likes of AJ, WIlder, Dury and Usyk, he's certainly no bum, let alone the others. One fighter to another, ok, that's part and parcel but that's it IMO.

A very professional performance from Aj who steadfastly refused to stand and trade and rightly so. He boxed Ruiz's ears off tonight and while maybe first time around AJs camp did not give Ruiz enough respect, tonight it was the reverse scenario. Got a lot of respect for Ruiz who is game as they come but he'd clearly not put the work in since winning the first fight. Whether that made any difference I doubt but it might be something he'll one day regret nonetheless.
Perhaps he thought AJ would come looking for him but if he did he was probably the only person who did.
Really impressed with AJ's footwork. Not seen him look anywhere near that mobile and elusive before, it's a whole new string to his bow IMO. Having shed a few lbs, which I think he needed to, he was on his toes the whole fight and still didn't seem remotely gassed. Worked well behind the jab, threw some solid shots and never really looked in any danger at all. Calm and clinical would be a fair description.
Most pleasing is the fact that we now once again have the prospect of some real 'super-fights' with Wilder, Tyson and Usyk out there. It's great to have a really vibrant heavyweight division again, that's for sure. Looking forward to the next chapter already!

Elon Musk and the Brit diver who went to save the Thai boys in the cave last year.
Yeah, according to Musk it's a commonly used form of bantz in South Africa where guys call each other 'pedo guy' all the time. Having spent over two years there, I can honestly say he's talking utter poo. If you call your average Afrikaner 'pedo-guy', it's a safe bet you're getting laid out!
It was a cheap shot from Musk all in a fit of pique because his toy submarine was deemed to be of no use to the rescue team. Childish really!
