I love this idea of a fund set up for Deby fans to pay the fine. This would show that we as a 'club' won't just let the EFL walk all over us.

When we reach the 100k, us as fans personally take the money to the EFL HQ and show our disgust at how they as an organisation can victimise a club like they are doing.

This would get amazing press and highlight what a poo show the EFL really are.

We should take it to their HQ in a lorry full of 2,000,000 5p coins and tip them at the front door.

But this has been all self induced.... just do the accounts properly, do it the same as everyone else, why give them the ammunition in the first place.

The root of this is the stupid acceptance by the EFL that relegated clubs from the PL can rely on 4 years worth of parachute payments that ensure they have the unfair advantage of retaining or buying the best players thus disadvantaging others in the league who don't benefit from this unfair income. Mel has tried his hardest to circumnavigate his way around this grossly unfair system in an effort to make us competitive.

They're monitoring him, also Southampton almost bid for him last season. he plays regularly for Poland, so are they all wrong?

The fact is none of our attacking players did anything last season because we have a manager that kills every attacking aspect of our game and makes it impossible for any attacker to perform well.

Yeah, knows nothing about attacking and scoring, our manager, nothing at all

No way we owe PC and co 8 mill , thought the loan was 17.5 mill even on the Fail figures ?
If the stadium has a valuation of 80 mill and the turnover with fans in the ground a very attractive proposition. DCFC have only ever leased the training ground however the mere fact that we have one that a new owner doesn’t have to build again is another plus .

Agree Reggie, but the point remains, debt free what is DCFC worth?

Which is precisely the point folk are making. Either slate them all, or ideally, save criticisms for behind closed doors.

In any case, as you've made clear in several posts now, your stance is that if we're not on the coaching staff, we can't offer a valid opinion. If that's the case we may well as close the forum.

That's not a fair reflection of my view hair island. Of course you can offer an opinion but so can I. If mine is different to yours please see the post before yours.

How many of Gregory, Jozwiak, Waghorn, Watson, Roberts, Knight and Shinnie do you think have deserved more game time than Sibley over there past 3 games?

I can't tell. I haven't seen them training. Their performances on the pitch have all been as poor as Sibley however.edit..Shinnue has done better than the others.

That's presumably what this thread is about - people who watch Derby, and Sibley, sharing their opinions. Yes, Rooney has 'privileged access' and a world of top-level football experience and yes, he might be right. But equally he might be wrong; managers sometimes are. The point is it's a legitimate debate and not settled just by pointing out that Rooney is the manager and we are not!

But that's just it. The issue isn't how well Sibley has played its how poorly he has played and its Rooney unique position that puts him miles ahead of any fan as to how how to get him to improve. Some are very dogmatic with no basis for it. That's my point.

So why not just have a word with him in private, given he has unfettered access? Why not qualify his comment by making it clear that it's not just SIbley under-performing. Why not give Sibley the run of games the likes of Waghon have been afforded to see if with games he does 'do better'?  It's the inconsistency and lack of loyalty that has annoyed people.

Given Wazza is meant to have gleaned some lessons from his time under Ferguson, you'd think he'd have learned that you defend your players as individuals to the hilt in public and if they need the hairdryer treatment, it's done in private. Publicly shaming your players, even when you're 100% correct, is the fastest way to lose a dressing room and frankly, it just smacks of desperation.

Have you heard Rooney's comments about Sibley with Colin Gibson after the game? Have a listen.

That's fine but you could say the same about any player in any squad. The manager always sees more than the fans, but they still sometimes get things wrong.

But who's to say he's wrong?
