  1. Good work though the thought of a horny Warney is a bit disturbing.
  2. Bit harsh on Wilson’s defensive ability. He’s got others out of the cart on a number of occasions recently. He is undoubtedly better further forward where he can create space for others by beating a man and drawing additional defenders.
  3. …giving Mendez-Laing a hickey during Geography (though it weren’t her it was that slapper Julie Edwards) Would brighten up an otherwise dull window
  4. Series two of Kin introduces Bren, the character visited in prison in series one. He’s off the scale bonkers! Love/Hate is good but at times feels a little fleeting and hurried. Both good though.
  5. Impressive stats but he is a bit of a goal hanger. Not really the third midfielder we crave.
  6. I do smile when I read the criticism of Warne’s interviews and in particular his tendency to ‘build ‘em up and knock ‘em down’. We, and I include myself in this, then say ‘yeah we may be fourth, amongst the leading scorers and with an away record we could only dream of a few years back, but the football is awful!’ Oh the irony😊 I do cringe when I imagine the manager/ players reading our posts. I guess they don’t, given the fact they always manage to clap the crowd at the end of games. The relationship between fans and the staff is very much a sibling one, with lots of squabbles along the way.
  7. Yes, I don’t think we’ve used him well so far. He’d be excellent if we got Smith, even if one or more of them only came on as sub.
  8. Way I see it is that if letting players go is the only chance of bringing players in, let’s utilise the value of those not considered our regular starters.
  9. Forget us muppets in the crowd, I didn’t think the players looked like they were loving life on Saturday. Sometimes you really get the feeling they’re up for it but on Saturday even Collins looked subdued. They looked almost sullen as if they’d been told there was no pay rise this year. I know the starting formation wasn’t great but the players had the opportunity to make it work with a bit of proactive decision making. Had the four forwards come back to receive the ball and drive forward, we might have seen more entertaining football. Standing in a line on the half way line just encouraged hoof ball which Davies lapped up. All I’m saying is that the players take half the blame for poor football (at times). I’d also add that I loved the goals we scored on Saturday.
  10. Should we prepare for a 38 year old striker with a limp?
  11. What superb captaincy from Stokes to keep faith with Hartley in the first innings when everyone thought he was daft. Hartley looked nervous early on both when batting and bowling but once he settles he looks a prospect. Pope was magnificent and shout out to Leach, bowling through the pain.
  12. Nice one Grumpy! Makes all those early mornings worthwhile 😊
  13. Surely one of the greatest test wins of all time?
  14. As the fox said to the squirrel
  15. Would love this guy to be the young premier league player we’d like loaned.
  16. Funny how posters on here attack Warne for criticising the players. Is it because that’s OUR job?
  17. Yes, I thought he looked very out of sorts yesterday. Freestone and Davies had him in their pocket, mostly because of our dumb tactics. He hadn’t looked remotely like scoring. His single header missed by miles. Then suddenly (and largely out of character) he intelligently dropped back into space for the cross which was expertly executed by NML (himself poor to that point) and BOOM! 2-1 What we have consistently managed to do this season is pull goals out of nowhere. It was a glorious moment in a very forgettable game.

  19. Yep, he’s a good shot stopper but he’s terrible at committing to crosses. How can the defence play in front of that?
  20. I’ll tell you the real Post Office scandal. £1.25 for a flipping stamp! Has destroyed the sending of Christmas cards. Now they’re saying they might not deliver at weekends. I hope that this fiasco leads to a total reassessment of the future of the Post Office.
  21. I think the most enjoyable game from a spectator perspective was the Peterborough game and we lost that. However, I can’t wait to get out of this league so I can put up with a few games like yesterday 😊
  22. Well this is suddenly getting very interesting! Terrific test match and brilliant by Pope and Hartley.
