  1. I guess because he’s unproven as a goal scorer at this level in stark contrast to Gregory and Smith. I appreciate we won’t know until he’s given a shot but quick results seems to be the order of the day.
  2. That’s what my wife says.
  3. We only go for players who can get to training on the bus, ideally with a bus pass.
  4. Does feel a bit like we went for Cinderella and got an ugly sister
  5. Gregory Legit would be a great signing. Top striker in the French league. Magnifique 🧄🇫🇷
  6. If we sold Cashin we’d need a replacement for him because there’s no obvious CB partnership at the club to replace him. Nelson and Bradley together would be a disaster.
  7. If he’s fit he will: Always give 100% Score goals Be a viable sub Not upset existing players Okay, it’s not exciting, but if it’s that or no signing, we need back-up.
  8. Any update on this? Would be a great day out (especially when we win)
  9. Mubama contract negotiations at West Ham ‘difficult’ due to new agent. Sounds like one we might want to avoid.
  10. Wildsmith Nyambe Nelson Cashin Sibley Wilson Bird Thompson Mendez-Laing Blackett-Taylor Collins
  11. Wouldn’t mind him here TBH. I think he’s a useful player.
  12. Good work though the thought of a horny Warney is a bit disturbing.
  13. Bit harsh on Wilson’s defensive ability. He’s got others out of the cart on a number of occasions recently. He is undoubtedly better further forward where he can create space for others by beating a man and drawing additional defenders.
  14. …giving Mendez-Laing a hickey during Geography (though it weren’t her it was that slapper Julie Edwards) Would brighten up an otherwise dull window
  15. Series two of Kin introduces Bren, the character visited in prison in series one. He’s off the scale bonkers! Love/Hate is good but at times feels a little fleeting and hurried. Both good though.
  16. Impressive stats but he is a bit of a goal hanger. Not really the third midfielder we crave.
  17. I do smile when I read the criticism of Warne’s interviews and in particular his tendency to ‘build ‘em up and knock ‘em down’. We, and I include myself in this, then say ‘yeah we may be fourth, amongst the leading scorers and with an away record we could only dream of a few years back, but the football is awful!’ Oh the irony😊 I do cringe when I imagine the manager/ players reading our posts. I guess they don’t, given the fact they always manage to clap the crowd at the end of games. The relationship between fans and the staff is very much a sibling one, with lots of squabbles along the way.
  18. Yes, I don’t think we’ve used him well so far. He’d be excellent if we got Smith, even if one or more of them only came on as sub.
  19. Way I see it is that if letting players go is the only chance of bringing players in, let’s utilise the value of those not considered our regular starters.
  20. Forget us muppets in the crowd, I didn’t think the players looked like they were loving life on Saturday. Sometimes you really get the feeling they’re up for it but on Saturday even Collins looked subdued. They looked almost sullen as if they’d been told there was no pay rise this year. I know the starting formation wasn’t great but the players had the opportunity to make it work with a bit of proactive decision making. Had the four forwards come back to receive the ball and drive forward, we might have seen more entertaining football. Standing in a line on the half way line just encouraged hoof ball which Davies lapped up. All I’m saying is that the players take half the blame for poor football (at times). I’d also add that I loved the goals we scored on Saturday.
  21. Should we prepare for a 38 year old striker with a limp?
  22. What superb captaincy from Stokes to keep faith with Hartley in the first innings when everyone thought he was daft. Hartley looked nervous early on both when batting and bowling but once he settles he looks a prospect. Pope was magnificent and shout out to Leach, bowling through the pain.
