  1. We have two and it just produces paranoia. Occasionally we get great views of a fox sniffing at the camera. On a sunny day it goes off every time a car drives past.
  2. We’ve been hanging in there with True Detective. The premise is interesting but there’s a lot going on, not all of which my wife and I fully understand 😊 Just as we’re losing attention something dramatic happens and we’re back in it. It’s not the masterpiece it was advertised as.
  3. Peterborough play a bit like we used to pre-Warne. They pass from the back, through a busy midfield platform and have pacy strikers. That’s not a criticism of PW just a fact. Everyone in our area of the East Stand admired their football and agreed that on the day, they were better than us. But, it’s not individual games that win you promotion, it’s consistency, and we’ll see whose best in that department as the season wears on.
  4. Orwell was right all along.
  5. Perhaps we should have an hour after each game in which no one is allowed to post. Simmer time!
  6. I really enjoyed Here we go on BBC1. Lovely, family comedy, beautifully acted.
  7. Aargh, I thought there was some loophole which allowed him to come to us 😊 Never mind, back to tutting at Hourihane
  8. Football is becoming a video game.
  9. Can’t believe the sentiment on here about a talented young player who is desperate to prove himself but whose career has been blighted by injuries. Warne has seen a player in training who exhibits amazing skill. He has shown faith in TJJ because if he could get fit, he’d be a great addition. It didn’t work out but surely the hope is that this young man realises his dreams?
  10. All the best CodnorRam. Sometimes doing stuff for other people can seem easier and give a sense of wellbeing. There are loads of charitable opportunities, but even just doing a favour for a mate or family member can be uplifting. When you’re feeling brighter I’m sure you’ll recognise you’ve achieved more than you give yourself credit for. If you’re still struggling it can help to share with a stranger. The Counselling Directory can be a good place to start, but even telling your GP and/or family members lets some of the anxiety out.
  11. Especially weeing on the pitch at Cambridge 😊
  12. Danny Baker always said if you want a reaction amongst your own fans, say nothing can possibly go wrong now!
  13. Is that the foot we’re worrying about?
  14. Does anyone know the way? Did we hear someone say Shrewsbury haven't got a clue what to do!" Does anyone know the way? There's got to be a way To Block Buster!
  15. Vickers Nyambe Nelson Cashin Elder Adams Bird Hourihane Barks Collins CBT Can’t see NML being risked. Think the two specialist FBs will start. Hourihane seems undroppable. Wouldn’t be my team but think it’s what he’ll pick.
  16. Don’t give us half a story! 😂🐿️🍒
  17. So his foot and his nuts are both okay?
  18. The State would be paying fewer staff as the private healthcare sector would be paying more. If both private and public were paid more, we would attract more to the roles.
  19. Sorry, my point was that more demand for private healthcare would increase the number of facilities for treatment, reducing the burden on the NHS. A smaller number of doctors and nurses would be required for the NHS which should (and this is hypothetical) mean the government could afford to pay them more.
  20. I disagree. If government encouraged more people to take private healthcare by abolishing the ridiculous 12% Insurance Premium Tax we would be building more hospitals and employing more staff in the private sector. The NHS simply has too many patients and it has become too expensive to operate, meaning brilliant staff don’t get the pay they deserve.
  21. Great to have Curb Your Enthusiasm back today. Larry D good as ever.
  22. Hope he pulls through. He’s waited so long to be King.
  23. Ooh, possibly! Was thinking one of the big two but Colin is the Pied Piper of broken players.
