I think the point being made was is there any chance we could stay up, if there is the Administrators may ask more to purchase the club.....
All the bidders have there bids were based on buying a Lg1 team

I've worked around property deals for a long time, the amount of times Ive been told a lease or sale would be signed the folliwing day, only for it to wait another 2 - 3 weeks, alsorts of things can hold deals up.
Dont forget we are dealing with HMRC here, civil servants, who don't do urgent.....
There's also Mel, MSD, Creditors, EFL, banks, Appleby's investors, think it obvious he will if anyone be the one....

It is not in administrators remit to "stall a bit" they are there working for creditors not the club. As soon as there is a suitable agreement for the creditors then the club can be sold unless the debt to be serviced is too high, the administrators won't bother what league the club are in and people have to understand they are not working for the club but for creditors.

I don't think we will be liquidated, however I do think the takeover will drag on and there will have to be player sales/releases from next week to 1. Increase cash in hand 2. Potentially reduce some debt and 3. Improve cashflow projections in the second half of the season, as we prepare for L1. Lets not beat about the bush.
Don't forget we are currently relying on a MSD loan to fund operations going forward, that cannot continue and the club has to be able to live on cash generated.
So high earners, decent fee or a combination of these two criteria will potentially be outward moves I'm afraid. Maybe Wayne will be allowed to bring a freebie or two in on low wages. Lets see, but don't underestimate the situation we are in.

It's not karma. It's another set of fellow football fans suffering at the hands of mismanagement.

EFL not given themselves much wiggle room to let this (and the others coming) to slide through with a knuckle wrap?
The “smaller” champ (and lower league who have votes) clubs will probably not make it easy for the bankrupt boys to change the rules?

Just wanted to say this, I take no enjoyment from clubs failing P&S rules, football is broken, Covid is hammering the final nail in the coffin.
I'm sure the vast majority of Bristol City fans are decent football fans that don't deserve to see their club punished.
However, when one fan takes his obsession with our situation to a level that's beyond normal behaviour, it's hard not to have a smile on your face when reading the clubs statement.
Bristol City the club, the staff, players, fans, no ill feeling, wish you all the best and hope you can sort the financial situation out without punishment.
Mr Poppadom, I hope they throw not just the book at you but the library, you had this coming you muppet.

Scanning over the full accounts (https://www.bcfc.co.uk/media/64587/bristol-city-holdings-lmited-annual-report-and-consolidated-financial-statement-2020-21.pdf) I'd say these are the two bits that most immediately stood out
Firstly, turnover was down by about £11m, both because of the lack of fans, but also due to a decrease in other commercial incomes (note that they did receive £1m more in government grants than last year, making this figure, overall, closer to a £10m difference)

Bigger than that, though, is the roughly £19m gap in disposal of player contracts (player sales) from the previous financial year

So, effectively, the three areas in which Bristol City have suffered (and, presumably, this will be seen across the board) is loss of matchday revenue in both tickets and hospitality due to lack of fan; loss of commercial incomes from other sources; and stagnation of the transfer market causing a loss of ability to sell players or to sell players at higher prices. EDIT: On further thoughts, that last point is an assumption. It might just as well be the case that no one wanted any of Bristol City's players to the extent that they previously did.

Also, I noticed that in the strategic report they mention that Keith Downing and Paul Simpson assisted Dean Holden whilst he was interim manager, when actually they were only appointed when he was made permanent manager. I sure hope the EFL do the right thing and drag them through a lengthy disciplinary commission over this trivial, minor inaccuracy within their accounts. They simply can't be allowed to so flagrantly breach the rules like this.

This will be the tip of the iceberg. Let’s hope our fantastic and proportionate regulator the EFL, apply the P&S breach penalty as per the rule book. If not we could be in Gibbo territory and resort to legal action.
