Name me 10 owners who’ve destroyed a football club more than Mel has. There’s no defence for him. No defence at all. He gambled with the clubs future, then ducked off and left it to die. There’s some dodgy characters in football ownership, but very few have done the damage to a football club and community that Mel has. He’s right up there with the very worst, and I’m fed up of people trying to somehow justify his actions because he’s a “Derby man”. All those people who’ve lost their jobs because of his actions. 

Don’t want him anywhere near again, the guys worth 100s of millions and left St. John’s ambulance 8k short, he’s awful

He made mistakes, but I think forcing him into a giant blender is too harsh a punishment. Can't we just smash his specs or something?

So what this thread shows is how divisive it would be to our brilliantly united fanbase  

Genuinely, liquidation. I’d rather start again than have that baldie allowed anywhere near Derby. At least there’d be a team I can be proud of, even if we were in the National League.

But why should MM make a gift to our next owner ?

Does anyone really believe the Mel rumour? I’ve never heard such ******** in all my life. Well, not since the last time Mel opened his mouth anyway.

I think it would be difficult to imagine him "sleeping" esp if SP still in place. If this is the case though as the only way forward to save the club, return the ground and allow it to move on before further damage could there be a long term aim for a charitable trust receiving donations from local fans, businesses, celeb fans obv including George, to buy/have his shares at an agreed up front very very discounted "I'm sorry for all this ?" price? Or thought of any money going to him unpalatable evening knowing he is taking huge hit? It seems a huge shame getting to this point after all this grief and how galvanised the fan base has been to come out of this with no fan involvement in ownership?

If it's Mel Morris then I'm sorry but that is the absolute final straw for me.
That man took over a club in the play off final on the brink of the premier League and had left us with no assets, no young players and on the brink of league one with a very probable 15 point deduction as well as currently having 5 players contracted to us next season.
This is a man that wouldn't answer the phone to Rooney to such an extent that Rooney had to call from the club doctor's phone and then Mel answered straight away.
This club has been rotten to the core since this man took over and the only good thing to come out of this absolute horror show is that he will no longer be anywhere near this football club.
Rooney doesn't like him and clearly has no time for him. The amount of effort, heart, passion, desire that these players, Rooney and the coaching staff have put in this season despite all the circumstances, all the issues. These have all been caused by one man.
If he was to takeover or be part of any consortium taking over that would be a smack in the face to all that these players have done. When he's put us in this position solely to reduce the debt he's caused.
The man is a spineless, gutless piece of work and I want him nowhere near this football club ever again.

Down At Bristol city they have had a riot in St. Paul’s area and some rude people vandalising a statue of a shipping slave carrier who help financed half of Bristol within the last 100 years and not much else that I have seen reported 

Perhaps mel coming making payment of the debts he owes by card or bank transfear for all we know.

So we are now at the end of March having reached the same stage we were at the beginning of January minus a lot of talented players, having gained more debt whilst the administrators have doubled their money whilst we have hardly any players to put on a football pitch, is that everything ?

If we had Rooney and Clooney all we would need is some Mooney and we could really go places.

There’s not many things that would stop me from going to watch Derby but Mel Morris being involved again would be one of them 

Get off the fence and tell us how you really feel.

If Mel does stay involved in the club  he has almost destroyed, where:
Some of the staff have had their jobs ripped away from them, where players like Shinnie have cried because they were being forced to leave, where Rooney the manager has had to endure challenge after challenge in his first managerial career and where the fans have endured 2 years of utter hell, from seeing their club being destroyed, from taking abuse from opposition fans, hearing fans singing "we will have a party when Derby County dies", grown men and women crying because they face losing their club and the untold people who probably literally couldn't take any more, as their last real love is ripped away.
If Mel is involved in any way, after all he has done, then he is a far worse human being than I ever thought he was.

No - Morris ignored Boro and Wycombe, had he not have done so this would have been sorted long before.  I suggest he badly advised Q to do the same....
Mel should of sued the EFL for continued dealays to the process.  We all know he would have won, especially as they since had an official rule change.....  Q cocked up there rolling over big time!

I have heard on the grapevine that we will announce the new owner as part of our centenary celebrations in 2084, apparently they are going to make a big show of it……the other thing I heard is that Q might own us due to the size of bill matching the asking price
