I thought we played well in the first half of the Charlton game and deserved our lead which I thought we gave away in the second half through two avoidable errors that came from the build up of not carrying out the basics of the game, passing, composure and decision making which all deteriorated throughout the second half and became frustrating to all of us, players, coaches, chairman, staff, supporters etc. Players becoming sloppy and repeating the same things that gave the ball away and were not benefiting the team.

I’ve mentioned this in other match threads. How many times does NML want to try and pass (nutmeg) a ball through an opposing player when numerous opportunities are given to him to pass the ball earlier, and to a team mate, along the ground, with a clean pass, not bobbling and bouncing, all ending up with the same result every time, possession lost, his team on the back foot and players out of position and NML no longer in possession.

Why does MB over play it, try to play a pass whilst looking in the opposite direction to the man he’s passing too, trying to kid on his opposing player, and then the ball goes behind his team mate and a real good attacking opportunity is wasted. These are a couple of examples of many others that if simplified with effective passing and keeping possession effectively and accurately, well timed passes, like what EC does very regularly and if carried out by all eleven players, are the many small margins that can make the difference in fixtures with positive results.

We won 1-0 away at Charlton with a goal from NML with a good pass from MB and our basics were good that day. And we beat Barnsley 3-0 at home with 2 goals from JC and CF, two players currently missing through injury.

We are not getting beaten by loads currently, it really is small margins, and errors at the moment, that all people make in life. I don’t think formations play much into it, when players are not playing to their full potential and doing the basics to their full potential. Football players can play all over the pitch and should be thankful for the wonderful position and lifestyle they have and should give their all, when out on the pitch.

I do wonder how some folk on here would deal with their loved ones, their family members, when their family members make errors in life, do we stick loyal knowing that are family are good people, do we support them, be there for them, knowing certain set backs can make all of us stronger, do we learn together how to deal with certain situations, stick by each other, offer support, listen and help, watch out for them, and move on together, learning together and hopefully benefiting all involved.

A couple of bad results, 0 points, that could have been 1, 2, 3, 4 or 6 points. Time to move on together, regroup and support one another. Paul Warne and all the staff at the club will be learning together to move on and searching for improved performances and results going forwards, we can help by supporting them.

    Up The Rams 🐏

I'm not going to read any very long post from inverurie that doesn't have an avant-garde music video link.......

I agree. It also makes it harder to 'enjoy' him being our manager, for some anyway. Whatever was thought of Roseniors football style I think you could be sure he wanted to be here and for the Club to achieve things with him.

    Good point, well put.

Just woken up to see the highlights.

Is Elder injured? If not, can someone explain that back 4 to me.

Wildsmith has lost the plot like last season.

We are so lucky that Bolton are imploding too.

2nd place is now up for grabs for 6 teams.

If it's down to bottle I'd have us at the back of those 6.

Form seems to be sliding again. Every recent year feels similar.

Dont bother - i tried also but was just called blinkered etc by other posters. But I dont actually give a 💩 about any of it tonight as today my son got a medical school offer after 2 years of trying and I couldnt be prouder

Well that's properly important good news. Shame about the forum stuff but there's one or two on here who seem to want to label people rather than read what is actually written. I get it too.

And shame that our form seems to be slipping away again....

I’ve given up trying to understand it or argue with it. My only complaint really is it spoils my enjoyment of the forum. I come on the matchday thread to talk about the game with other fans, and while I appreciate Warne is a big part of that, the strong feelings some have against him take over everything and there’s then no chance to discuss anything else.

Come on, I'll have a go.

The early minutes sounded promising. Did things start to slip after nyambe was injured?

England ladies seem to be over their post-World Cup hangover. Was amazed at how quickly the media jumped on Wiegman and her players over 2 or 3 poor performances, but perhaps the honeymoon is over. Best way to respond is to win games and it was business as usual tonight with a superb 7-2 win over Austria tonight. Beth Mead is back from injury and we look a different side with her playing. Check out Carter's cheeky effort for our 5th goal 😍

Only downside was we conceded 2 relatively soft headed goals. We had a tall spindly lass at centre half who didn't seem able to jump.

I would imagine that it’s no surprise but I am feeling very positive about this.

There are going to be a lot of tight, tense games over the next 3 months and someone like Gayle with his movement and instinct in the box could be the difference between 1 point and 3 points in many games.

Let’s hope we get him fully fit and firing and he can lead us to promotion one way or another.

Is that when he's helping the defence protect a precious 1-0 lead from the 85th minute?

    Cheaper though?

Used to be, but when tfl was formed prices went up a lot and the rules for getting compo for late/missing trains got tougher.

Off peak not bad 19 quid to London from Eastleigh single which is 70 miles.

9.40 quid from the sister in laws which is 20 miles.

Under affiliation regs he surely shouldn't be ref.  Unless Barnsley booted him out, gave him 2 quid for a sandwich and laughed as they shut the door in his face.  In that case he probably hates them and it's all good.

I thought 2 quid would get you an agreeable terraced house in barnsleh.....
