Bird made it clear he wanted to leave, his contract expired at the end of the season the best we could do was sell him and get him on loan for the rest of the season. Since he signed for Bristol City his form for us as improved and he seems to be playing with more freedom, whether this was because his future is sorted or because Adams as come in and does all the ugly stuff I’m not sure probably a bit of both 

Yep, it was obvious so if he is seriously injured, Warne and co have got what they deserved.

So as I said CF was a must in January even if Collins is ok

Perhaps Warne turned up to Moor Farm p!ssed up on deadline day, saw 3 people when he looked at Collins and got confused...its easily done.

Yes and yes. Hopefully Washington and Waghorn aren’t far away from a return to solve our striker shortage 🙏 
I did see something on Waghorn’s Instagram stories the other day which was a pic of his boots with a smiley face and a football emoji so perhaps he’s close to a return.

Still think another CF would have been useful addition.

Probably our best player now Bird has gone.  I’m just making the point really that he won’t stay in League 1 next season if we don’t go up.  
Of course I want promotion who wouldn’t but it’s by no means a given now after failing to get a CF in .
What do I know but we were poor against Cheltenham but our only CF and Bird dug us out

Tbf mate there's only ever been 1 or 2 players better than them in history.

I am not a fan of selling a player and keeping him on loan. If we sell him, wish him well and let him go. It is different from loaning a player coming in, where they hopefully see it as an opportunity to impress.
