    I'm a little confused...

Is that yes or no to the game going to extra time/pens?

Or is it nominate a team to go to extra time/pens, then yes or no as to whether they make it through?

    ?‍♂️

Hopefully, the wording of my predictions are clear enough?

Sorry. I was posting in a hurry last night.

Yes, it’s about whether the game goes to extra time or penalties.

Say you put ‘Brazil - no extra time or penalties’ then if the tie is decided in 90 minutes, you get 10 points. If it goes to extra time, you get 0.

Say you put ‘Brazil - extra time/penalties - yes’ then if the game is decided in 90 minutes, no points. 10 points if it goes to ET.

  3. Helpful stats:

Netherlands, England and Morocco topped their groups with 7 points. No one won all three group games.
Netherlands, USA, Croatia, Morocco and England are the only sides unbeaten so far.
Gakpo, Rashford, Morata and Mbappe are top scorers with 3 goals each.
Senegal and Japan are the sides left with the most cards (6 each).
The team to watch could be Japan, who of course upset both Spain and Germany in the group stages.

  4. Round 4 starts tomorrow. Entries by 3pm, please.

    Netherlands v USA
    Argentina v Australia

    Japan v Croatia
    Brazil v South Korea

    England v Senegal
    France v Poland

@Jourdan Quick question, could I for example say England to win and then Iran to lose in round 1, or would that be considered cheating, does the results need to come from different games?

    Good question.

Well the idea is that the five predictions are separate and different, so you can potentially win bonus points.

The win / loss / draw predictions should come from different games otherwise in effect you are making 4 predictions, not 5.

  9. We’re making good progress when you think we are disappointed and frustrated to only take a point away at a strong Portsmouth side.

Not too long ago it would be a mixture of relief and outright disbelief.

Warne is doing a very good job when you think about how resolute and professional the performances are, given the injuries we have and how stretched the squad is.

An encouraging point tonight and one that bodes well for the future. We’re very well placed to kick on in December and the rest of the season.

We definitely should be looking to cement a play off position.

  10. Welcome to the forum’s prediction league for this year’s World Cup.

Entries for game 1 of the group stage are welcome up until kick off (Sunday, 4pm).

There will be a round of predictions for each stage.

    For your predictions, pick:

    -One team to win

    -One team to lose

    -One team to draw

    -One player to score

-One player to receive a yellow or red card

This format will be the same for all the group stage games, but modified for the knockout rounds.

    Example:

    Argentina to win

    Serbia to lose

    USA to draw

    Kane to score

    Pepe to be carded

    Point scoring:

10 points for every correct prediction

50 bonus points for 5 correct predictions.

Round 1 fixtures (group game 1):

    Qatar v Ecuador
    Senegal v Netherlands

    England v Iran
    USA v Wales

    Argentina v Saudi Arabia
    Mexico v Poland

    France v Australia
    Denmark v Tunisia

    Spain v Costa Rica
    Germany v Japan

    Belgium v Canada
    Morocco v Croatia

    Brazil v Serbia
    Switzerland v Cameroon

    Portugal v Ghana
    Uruguay v South Korea
