I think we should be humble before the challenge of staying up. Unlike last year when I expected us to win big every now and then, now every point is something to celebrate. We don't have as good a squad as most other teams and we will have to fight to average 1 point per game and stay up.
This win was wonderful and now it's just a matter of reloading for the next attempt. It will probably take us several years before we can challenge for top 6 again. This is going to be a long and hard season, but if we can finish in 19-20 in the end, I will be overjoyed. It will require more efforts like this for sure.

So another match day thread where we got a fantastic 3 points against a team that’s been building at this level we’ve got ourselves back into , with far more money spent , bigger better squad, which we won by sheer grit , determination, organisation, team spirit in the face of losing two of our defenders early on but clinically punished they’re mistake descends into ,, we were just lucky , we cannot survive playing like that , Warne is not good enough ect ect ,
im glad I go to games and watch real football, I can assure you I enjoyed ,was riveted to the game and as happy at the final whistle as any game we have dominated and strolled through ( perhaps more so )
one game at a time and I’m happy for warne to do what he thinks is needed to get the points to stay up and establish us again , im not gonna get bogged down by those telling us how poor and lucky we were and how bad it’s going to be going forward , engage a little and laugh them off🤷🏻‍♂️

Early prediction. Fans favourite after 10 games. Never, ever underestimate work rate. You can look at stats all day and they paint a picture, but until you see someone running all game with their kit soaked in sweat, working hard for the team, for the manager, for the fans, you can only form part of it.
Sure his record is average, sure he isn't gonna bang in 25 goals and set the league on fire, but someone putting themselves about with the fans on their side raises the work rate and commitment of others around them. In they run through brick walls and the fans love them for it, others follow their example.
Our fans will bloody love him.

Gone to the highest bidder, which would explain why L2 and not L1. It's extremely unlikely he'll play for us again given his contract is up in the summer.
A badly researched buy, with the coaching staff expecting him to be more like Adams, when the stats clearly pointed to a different type of player. He has plenty of good attributes and will look very good in the right team - just not us.

Big gap between a fiver and £10 million let's hope it's the latter

I’ve never met a player less droppable. Every manager since Mac have tried to replace him and yet still he remains. 

I’ve been thinking about who we might let go or who we should let go to trim the squad and to raise money.
These are mine:
Vickers - Sell 
CBT - loan hasn’t worked out here at all and I think he’s not really a Warne-player 
Washington - Sell /loan - just isn’t really up to it maybe in league 1/2 certainly not the championship.
Bradley - sell I’d happily get rid if his wages were high.
Robinson - loan 
Brown - loan but I’d like to see him off the bench a dozen times before just in case he might be a useful addition to the squad. 
 
Ward - loan / sell - brilliant cross but again like so many so unreliable due to injuries.

Fornah probably another one to add, showed little glimpses but not enough.

I’ll have to spout forth later, dinner to cook. Meanwhile, Lots of positives against a cultured side. Weird thing to say in this short post but did anyone else note Fornah’s Cameo ? .. cleaning up at the back, quick feet and two absolutely delightful defence opening reverse passes. We have midfield options galore … just need a man to take the chances / stamp his name on the field.
