MadAmster got a reaction from DiggerB in Come on derby
An attempt at humour, I fear. A poor one at that. Ignore it B4.

MadAmster got a reaction from Dordogne-Ram in Kinkladze
He was brilliant in the first game I brought my 2 lads over for. 4-0 v Wimbledon. The boys were ecstatic as Kinky had previously played for our local club, Ajax, and now, aged 28 and 30, are still Rams.

... the digital kind.
I log in to this site. Disable all the cookies I don't want monitoring my every move. Browse, post, as one does and then log out. Next time I log in, the damned site asks my cookie preferences again. It would be less bothersome if there was, as there is with many sites, a simple reject all button. There isn't. You have to click all the ones you wish to turn off..... time and time again.
It's getting a right pain in the 'arris.

MadAmster got a reaction from David Graham Brown in Derby vs Ipswich (H) Match Thread
@Brammie Steve going on the last couple of performances, it doesn't seem to matter if we have owd buggaz on the park, the kids or both. There are no real chances being created. even when we have the upper hand in a game.
Solve that problem and we're in with a chance.

L1 refs have been, on the whole, poor. The "tackle" on white at Posh was a penalty. Not given. 3 times at 1st half corners, a defender had Fozzy in a bear hug. Not an issue until the kick is taken. Once the kick has been taken, unless the player releases immediately, it's a foul inside the box and, therefore, it's penalty. There's 3 more penalties not given. 4 in a single game.
Referees need to start enforcing the Laws of the game and stop this stupid all in wrestling at corners, free kicks and long throws... and the 6 second rule. Obstruction? Happens every game. When did you last see an indirect free kick for obstruction given? Now think about how many cases of obstruction you see at every game...

MadAmster got a reaction from SKRam in Derby vs Ipswich (H) Match Thread
As a ref, at 69 it's an occasional thing these days, I get annoyed whichever side is doing a "Mick McManus". It aint allowed, never has been, so why do it? OK, so we all know it started with the Italians, Spanish and Argentinians who got away with it and it spread... To me it's a sign that you're not good enough a defender to cope... Most of the time, the defender never even looks at where the ball is or where it's going, they are simply intent on holding on to the opposition player at all costs.
My playing days started when I was 7. Last 11 a side at 53 and last 5 a side indoors at 59. Not a single booking in all that time. I also played a lot of rugby so I wasn't a softie, just kept within the rules.

Wiki says 1.84m, so do several of the football transfer and stats sites. What's the source of your information on his height.
I wrote in a previous post that reading he's 6 foot was a surprise to me as he looks shorter. Available info appears to point to him being 6 foot. Optical illusion?

Ronald Koeman 5'11"
Frank de Boer 5'11 1/2
Current Ajax and NL FB/CD Jurrien Timber 5' 10 1/2
Lisandro Martinez MUFC/Argentina 5'9
Daley Blind 5' 11
You don't have to be 6 foot 4 to be a good central defender. Some of those I mentioned also played full back but were no slouches at CD at both club and international level.
I mean, Colin Todd was only 5' 9 and he was great alongside Roy Mac who was 5'11...

The 2nd one harps back to the Tin Man's testimonial when thousands of 'Gers came and mixed with the Derby faithful. A bond was born that day.

I may be wrong, it happened before with my first marriage 😉 , but I take it to be "when your financial year makes it impossible to submit those accounts, you create a "2nd set" to cover the EFL's "summer to summer" period. So one set of accounts running from/to the date the company started and another running June/July to June/July for the EFL.

MadAmster got a reaction from BaaLocks in What Rams player was worth the most in their peak?
It seems someone has now changed the Wiki page to 29 in 23 which would, indeed, put him 1 ahead of Bloomer. I had already contacted myfootballfacts pointing out their error, seems I'll have to amend my comments to them pointing out 10th place is correct but they've transposed the goals and games data.

Played well enough first half but failed to create concrete chances. They changed formation and brought 2 players in at HT. We did nothing to counter that. They won.
No opinion, just fact. PW will get us out of L1 but not this season. Give him the summer and January windows to build HIS squad and we probably won't see this Bielsa like dip.
