chewbacca
But Derby have had a bid for Keogh accepted by the Sky Blues and the Derby Telegraph understands that the player has held talks with Rams manager Nigel Clough at Moor Farm. Those talks appear to have gone well. Derby would not comment last night but any deal agreed could see a Rams player join Coventry on a long-term loan. Cardiff, who are at a training camp in Switzerland, had already tabled a bid thought to be in the region of £800,000 and they have been favourites in recent weeks to land Keogh. Cardiff are not out of the running, by any means, but it is becoming increasingly clear that they are not going to be given a free run in securing Keogh's signature. He has a year to run on his contract and his departure from the Ricoh looks inevitable. Coventry boss Andy Thorn confirmed: "Richard is in discussions with another club and what will be will be with that one. "We'll just have to see what happens. "It's just business. We can't let his contract run down and let him go for no money. "It's a shame, but these things happen." Coventry, who were relegated from the Championship last season, have signed two French central defenders in Kevin Malaga and William Edjenguele in the past week. Now Thorn wants to bolster the striking department.
Boycie
So the Burton mail knew as much as we did. I'll give newspapers 10 years, then they'll be no more.
RIMBAUD
this also suggests the poster earlier in the thread who had the conversation with a first team coach was on the level.
Duracell
Once you get a player to Moor Farm, you do seem to get in pole position, I imagine it's a pretty impressive place for a pro footballer.

I played there in a charity 5-a-side comp. Didn't have a guided tour but the indoor pitch is very good. Plus inbetween games they were selling some sausage rolls, they were excellent 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':P' /> Keogh + White + a striker and I'll be happy enough

DcFc Dyycheee
'Keogh is also wanted by Cardiff City and Leeds United but a move to Pride Park would suit the Sky Blues because it is understood to involve a cash plus player sweetener – County offering the services of a current squad member with first-team experience on a long-term loan with a view to a permanent deal.' - http://www.coventryt...2746-31427377/? Ambitious
Wouldn't be too fussed about Ball, bit like Severn in a way where he has come through the youth system and done very well but there are better players waiting in the wings, Richards, Thomas and especially Bennett are probably better placed for the future whereas Ball, whilst one day will no doubt be a good championship forward, at the minute has a lot of holes in his game. He has got a hell of a hammer foot on him though.
