Getting sick of this now, can't they hurry up and sort this out! He must be coming to Derby from what it seems but Northampton will be taking ages trying to get loads in compensation! We payed about 400k compensation for Maguire, surely some figure like that!

We have to sell to buy.

We have to sell to buy.

Yes, and even then it's not black and white 1.5million in would give us around 750k to spend, and I predict first game we will line up.

Fielding, Roberts, Buxton, Naylor, Brayford, Hughes, Bavies, Hendrick, Bryson, Theo, Ward.

Would be surprised if I am far off.

Hughes out Wardy on wing

B davies out Jacobs in

New striker

Maybe a new CB/Shackell.

Hopefully 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':(' />

I hope i'm wrong but what can we realistically hope for in terms of Sdavies fee? 500k-800k, Shackell will go for around 1.5million (that i'm sure) along with a few others, can see us spending around 1million pound, that is maximum.

7.7million loss, and we're indebted to the Americans that will want a bit of that money, perhaps another loss in the region of 3-4million this year, which again will need to looked at by the Americans, they don't want to keep spending out and I can't blame them. It is very much the plan to run us like Crewe, young lower league/SPL players coming through every now and again, but ultimately pushing the likes of Hughes and Bennett into the first team and then from then on, it's all about survival!

I hope you're way off. Central defence looks very poor, midfield a bit lightweight and few goals in the front two. Would hope to have Shackle plus new CH, Ward out left, Bavies left out, and a new striker. And pigs might fly!

I didn't say that I would be happy for that team to start, and if it was to happen I don't think I would hold much hope out for next season!

Daft as it sounds, think Connor Doyle will be used this season and have a good majority of games, and if we do sign Jacobs he'll be without a doubt our biggest 'fee' signing.

Aidy Boothroyd says Northampton are in a strong position should Michael Jacobs' proposed transfer from the club be settled by a tribunal.

Derby are the only club to publicly declare their interest in signing the 20-year-old midfielder, who has turned down a new contract, but so far their offers have fallen short of what Town want for their double player of the year.

Whoever signs Jacobs will either have to agree a fee with [url=http://topics.skysports.com/northampton/?section=football]Northamptonhttp://static.lingospot.com/spot/image/spacer or take their chances at a tribunal, and should any transfer go down the latter route Town boss Boothroyd is confident the club will be properly compensated.

"If it's not a good deal for us then we'll go to tribunal, and from the tribunals I've been to before I think we're in a very strong position," said Boothroyd.

"They can be open to interpretation and it depends who is sitting on them, who the manager is and what is being said about the player in question. I'm sure all those factors will work in our favour.

"If he stayed for another year he would be worth double what we're talking about getting for him at the moment. A player in a winning team attracts more attention so it is good business sense to not accept a smaller offer and wait to see what happens."

Boothroyd is going to say that isnt he, hes trying to put the ****s up us so we cough up before the tribunal. We got Maguire for £450,000 so id guess it will be something along those lines, both were in similar positions at their clubs, in fact Maguire had played international football so surely that would of bumped his price up abit.
