In the Mirror, so probably rubbish

Derby make move on Leeds utility man

Nigel Clough wants Leeds’ versatile Aiden White on loan – with a view to signing him.

The Derby County chief hopes White will join his promotion push after missing out on Leicester Matty Oakley.

White previously had a spell at Oldham and could be interested in joining the Rams.

Think its highly unlikely that Clough is looking to sign either a Left back or a left winger at the moment. Anyway he is one of a batch of Leeds players who are out of contract next summer apparently. Wasen't Clough at a recent Leeds match a week ago or something as well?

here is the list I found

Alex Bruce - (possible 1 year ext)

Michael Brown

Lloyd Sam - (possible 1 year ext)

Jonny Howson

Ben Parker

Ramon Nunez

AIDEN WHITE

Zac Thompson

Alex Cairns

Nathan Turner

Lewis Turner

My brother is a Leeds fan and tells me that he is currently their first choice left back, so thinks this article makes no sense at all. For the record, he's supposedly "lightning quick".

However, it's not unknown for Championship teams to sell their left-backs, even when they're getting a game....

This would be a nice surprise, I watched him in first month of the season and he was excellent, he allowed gradel to get forward and not worry about the left side getting exposed and he got forward to support a lot of the time.

I always look out for decent left backs, and in this division its always a disappointment, however this lad was very good but can't see leeds letting him go.

maybe if he's only got a year left....theyd be scared of him going for free....so0o0oo0 who knows.

If they offer him a new contract which matches his current one, they will get compensation from his new club in any event as he is under 23(?).

I can't see that there is any truth in this, unless there actually is truth in the 'Nigel has been given money that he has chosen not to spend' narrative.

I am sure that there will be money available in January, not millions but a bit if the right player is available. Still way too early for the rumours to start but if he does come in on loan it would be because a deal/ compensation is already in place

Sounds like a good signing if true. Although i know little about him.

I thought Roberts was one of our better players against Leicester (not saying much) but he definately needs replacing.

The ever present Kevin Kilbane has suddenly become injury prone too.

cloughy loves quick players. Nigel probably just wants him but its been made into a rumour we'll sign him.
