Stags star Naylor not a Ram yet

DESPITE reports he had signed for Derby County, Tom Naylor remains a Mansfield Town player until at least 2nd January.

Naylor had had trials at Pride park as well as Fulham and Burnley and looks almost certain to move to the Rams in the New Year.

But boss Paul Cox said: “Tom is a Mansfield Town player until 2nd January unless something drastic happens.

“I think everything has been agreed as far as I am aware. I was involved in the initial negotiations and both chairmen have been sorting out the deal ever since.

“I don’t know if Tom has sorted personal terms yet.”

So the deal is done for the start of the window. He can't sign until then anyway. Well apart from on loan, but I wouldn't have expected him to anyway. He's a centre half we have Buxton, Shackell and OB fit and Barker on the way back. Why loan another and pay extra wages?

because he can play left back he is a 6 footer which would mean we would not have the smallest left hand side of the pitch in the championship with Roberts and Ward. We talk about teams exploiting us I am surprised this fact has not to date.
