Perky1106
What about the virtue of us being local? He must be something special if everyone wants him after two red cards in three appearances. That makes Joey Barton look like a saint.
NothernRam
DERBY County say they are still in talks with Mansfield Town about signing young defender Tom Naylor. "I don't think that one is dead in the water yet," said Rams manager Nigel Clough. "Tom is a young player, at 20, who we feel could develop and improve into a Championship player." Naylor played for Derby's Reserves last month and is also attracting interest from Burnley. http://www.thisisderbyshire.co.uk/story-13542674-detail/story.html

Tom Naylor: Close to sealing a move to Derby County from Mansfield Town Mansfield are resigned to losing the central defender after he attracted the interest of a host of clubs. Naylor has enjoyed trials at [url=http://static.lingospot.com/spot/image/spacer'>http://topics.skysports.com/fulham/?section=football]Fulhamhttp://static.lingospot.com/spot/image/spacer and Championship duo Derby and [url=http://static.lingospot.com/spot/image/spacer'>http://topics.skysports.com/burnley/?section=football]Burnleyhttp://static.lingospot.com/spot/image/spacer over the last couple of months, while [url=http://static.lingospot.com/spot/image/spacer'>http://topics.skysports.com/bournemouth/?section=football]Bournemouthhttp://static.lingospot.com/spot/image/spacer also had a bid rejected for his services last month. Derby are now believed to have agreed a fee with Mansfield for the 20-year-old and they are expected to secure his signature. p.shilton
seems like a lot of trouble to go to loan a kid who won't play. It must be "with a view to permanent" (basically we will have signed him but don't tell the F.A because it's naughty). Nige must have seen something in hi- besides aggression that is! Ambitious
I think we should of seen enough of him, in training and otherwise to allow us to know what level he is at, and what level he could achieve in the future, sounds like a diamond in the rough from what I hear. I agree we have enough centre backs, but young, decent out and out left backs are at a premium right now, so I reckon Clough might have the right idea with this lad. He's only twenty years old and is apparently very quick, so I'm feeling optimistic.

Anderson and Riggot are both the wrong side of 30 and injury prone. Going forwards, Shackell and Barker with O'brien and Naylor as cover seems reasonable to me. Donny Ram
I'd still prefer another left back to challenge Roberts. Shackell, Barker, O'brien and Buxton as CBs, Roberts and Naylor as LBs
