Warnes not actually had a transfer budget to buy players in. He's been allowed only to offer high salaries so has missed out on the best players he might have has a chance to sign for the club if a transfer budget could have been used.

Wrong. He has had a budget which he could use to pay transfers but chose not to. He's spent the budget on wages.

Thank you. I appreciate that. It's so difficult to start a new business in the current climate where the government is doing less and less to help new startups.

The problem with the government is they have all spent the majority of their careers in lesser roles.   Rishi Sunak?   Hasn't spent any of his career running countries before so how can you expect him to do a good job?

Correct... Except for the transfer budget Warne put towards wages, and the future fees we owe for Fornah, Wilson and Washington upon promotion and selling them.

Excellent point. You can’t spend the budget twice on transfer fees and wages.

Lol. No it's a choice. The poster said:

Wrong, was promised 'some' money for transfers that want forthcoming.

At the Fans Forum it was clarified that we could pay transfer fees. So if we didn't that was choice.

As if players and agents don't use this to their advantage.

For any player with multiple options, no transfer fee = higher singing on fee and/or weekly wage.

An agent getting a club for his out of contract client? Harder work, higher fee.

The point trying to be made was if we'd have paid a big transfer fee for a player who would also want high wages the hole budget would have been used up on one or two players coming in.

And if those two players were 'game changers' rather than 'squad fillers'?

And like I said it we had this might have blown the whole budget on 1 or 2 players which might or might no have worked

Or we might have had one or two game changers as opposed to squad fillers who got inured! Like I said.

The choice was Warne's, he could have paid transfers. How that turned out is not the point.

Has anyone in government now, got the experience of “running a country “ or anyone in the past, before they become Prime Minister?

I suspect/assume it was a joke. By definition, if you're doing a job for the first time you can't have any previous experience of doing it.

So which 2 players would you have spent the money on?

Probably a striker and a pacy CB (knowing Cash would likely leave and need a replacement). If you mean the exact names then I'd have to ask the recruitment team for names.
