I am sorry AshfieldRam but I don't see how you could put Wilson, Commons and Martin ahead of Baiano and Wanchope. Commons and Martin were Championship standard, and Wilson is a lower half Premier League player. Baiano and Wanchope were definitely top half Premier League class.

Just went on favourites from my Era mate. Probably should have explained. Wanchope, Eranio, Stimac and Baiano were some of my first memories of Derby and seemed a bit of a cop out?

I live in Nottinghamshire and the amount of grief I was able to give the red dogs back because if commons is why he will always hold a special place for me.

Outrageous slur.

He, against Manu no less, dinked the ball over Oshea’s head to beat him. That alone saves him from a worst ever team 😂

Fair play to you. If I went with favourites, Shilton would not be my number 1 goalkeeper.

How about Foletti or Banovic as a goalie, both dreadful.

Foletti being included seems a bit harsh because 1. I don't remember him and 2. When I looked him up he'd only played in 2 games for us.

How dare you include Yakka Banovic, he was a terrace cult hero. And, oh yes, also complete crap. Maybe you are forgiven for putting his name forward.

Folleti let in 4 goals at PP against a struggling Everton side (We lost 4-3). I think it was David Moyes’s first match in charge of Everton.

I also think his other appearance was a defeat at Tottenham that turned out to be the Bald Eagle’s final match as manager.

Can still see him diving for those Unsworth freekicks 2 seconds after they'd already gone in.  Nice to see he's as loathed by others after 1.5 games in a Derby shirt.  Takes something to make a worst 11 after that short period but his ineptitude basically killed us when a win would have saved us in the form we were in .  Looks like Everton may s******** it again this time without Foletti or cash in hand Segers to assist them.

Ian Feuer was the Tottenham one and it was Todds first game I think.  Gregorys first later on was a win against Spurs.  Had some s*** goalies that year stepping in.

Based on players I’ve seen live:

                             Poom

                 Riggott Stimac Carbonari

Eranio          Carsley   Asanovic       C.Powell

                             Baiano

                 Wanchope   Sturridge

Players who nearly made it into this: Carson Yates, Laursen, Rowett, van der laan, Pembridge, Charles, P Williams, T Johnson, simmo, Strupar, T Smith, Rasiak, Bisgaard, Idiakez, Hughes, Bryson, Martin, Davies (could probably be a middle team 🤣

Worst team

                             Carroll

Grenet       Clod Davis     Hajto     McEveley

Costa       Kazmierczak  Thirlwell   Sterjovski

                   Sammon   Tyson

Doing that exercise, oh my god we’ve had some crap players over the years and some like Folletti who I just can’t remember despite going to that Everton game. I couldn’t even fit Mikkel Beck, Zadkovich Blatsis Griffin Lewis and Andy Todd into my team.

Conversely we’ve also had some bloody good players.

Tomasz Hajto has to be the slowest footballer I’ve ever seen
