Steve How Hard? Posted January 16, 2022 Share Posted January 16, 2022 I'll miss him. I get he wasn't everybodys cup of tea but he never left anything out there on the pitch. In our current predicament then that kind of commitment is priceless. Thankfully we have a squad bursting with that level of commitment at the moment. Malty Posted January 16, 2022 Share Posted January 16, 2022 I wonder if this is more about security and a long term wage for the player than it is about saving money for the club. It must be tough having no plan for a salary beyond June, even if you are confident in your ability. Also, any injury and you’re down to zero salary come next July. Maybe I’m wrong, but I’m just struggling to see what Derby actually gain from this move outside of £100k or so (including shinnie’s salary) saved over the next 5 months.
