Millenniumram
It’s the lack of booing. Our team just don’t try hard enough when I’m not lambasting them at half time for being useless

r_wilcockson
The only reason we stayed up last season was because of our home record (pre lockdown). I think we struggle without the home support more than other teams, and the fact that every game post lockdown has felt like an away game, it's no surprise that the results are as they are really. JfR
I do think the lack of crowd has had a bigger impact on teams than one might have predicted. It would explain why Reading have started this season so well, being as they're used to playing in that sort of atmosphere.

I'd say home crowd is only an advantage if we're playing well. I've not often seen Derby teams turn things around when their piss poor performances have turned the crowd against them. therealhantsram
There was good data from Germany when their matches restaterted behind closed doors that away teams were much more successful than normal.

neil62uk
Also without fans , Referee,s are not intimidated to give decisions that they,d normally give in front of an hostile crowd ... just this weekend alone especially in premiere league the Refs have made an abundance of errors , Its plausible to say VAR is the issue, The fact other leagues don't have VAR still leaves Referee,s making outrageous decisions we had an incident ourselves PRESTON in the cup .
