SaintRam
Tell you what, Te Wierik looks very assured with the ball at his feet. No dribbling passes from him, all fired to feet. Reading winger trips over the ball, Derby counter, heavy touch from Forsyth sees it snuffed out.
SaintRam
Te Wierik tries to find Knight with a long diagonal but it flies over his head and out for a goal kick.
Andrew3000
We're doing well but they are bigger, stronger and quite dangerous. Only weak link is Shinnie really, not strong or quick enough yet. Need to get sibbers involved.

SaintRam
Other than one nice interchange from Reading early in the game, they've not been able to get into our third without a Derby error giving them the ball. This time, Derby's line is solid and offside ends Readings latest attempt.

To give another run-out to footballs most over rused cliche...he does just need one to go in off his backside
SaintRam
Marriott with an unnecessary (for my money) little shove in the back of the defender as he chases a bouncing ball and the ref gives a FK.

SaintRam
Whittaker has the ball nabbed off him by a sliding challenge from Ejaria, Shinnie cuts him down in turn to prevent a Reading attack. Shinnie booked.
Norman
Forsyth playing alright. Better than I thought. Shinnie is not good enough at this level.
nottingram
Very similar to the game against them last season. Stodgy. Question is whether we have the individual quality that won it for us last time

In fairness, Shinnie had a run of three MOTM performances in 6 games or so last season. But I agree he's not really of consistent starter quality, he's a good horse for some courses. SaintRam
Reading get in behind Wisdom, the cross is good. Forsyth puts it out for a Reading corner, wasn't under pressure but obviously wasn't sure.

Millenniumram
And there we have it. Corner, and goal. Nothing changes. Pathetic defending that. Deserved for Reading. We look still in pre season mode.

SaintRam
Derby 0-1 Reading. The Corner is driven to the near post, met by the run of Jaoa, who pokes it in.
