Advice: If you're tipping Brum to score more than a one goal, it is something they've achieved only once (2-1 over Wolves on Feb 24) since their 2-2 New Years Eve draw at Barnsley. Indeed, they've failed to score in 6 of their 16 matches since the New Year, hitting the back of the net only 11 times in 2017. Conversely, they've kept only 3 clean sheets over the same period, while conceding 25 in the other 13 games. Clearly Brum have not been holding their defensive structures together well for some time, nor are they in form in attack. And, while their form slump began in his final two games in charge (0-3 at home to Barnsley and then 4-0 at Newcastle), effectiveness both in attack and in defence have declined to disastrous levels since Rowett's dismissal. P. W L D GF. GA Rowett 20. 8-7-5. 25-26* Interim 1 1-0-0. 2-1 Zola. 19 2-6-12 14-29 * including 0-7 in Rowett's last two matches in charge. Long story short: both the mean and median point to a 2-0 home loss to Derby. If this proves correct, I might take up betting... NB: Can you tell I couldn't sleep at all all last night?
