How many 'future' England internationals do we have in the current squad? Will, Max...Ince???

Assessing all of the positions around the England squad, if(big if) Thorne stays fit then for me he has the best chance to get into the England squad because he'd only have to really get passed Eric Dier for the CDM role, who is playing at centre back more regularly for Spurs now anyway. CDM is the least stacked English position for me which means Thorne has the best chance.

From this in order of the players you included too of most chance to become future internationals.

1)Thorne

2) Hughes

3) Lowe

4) Ince

Laursen, Poom, Asanovic, Stimac, Deon Burton, and wasn't Erandio an international?

Charlie george had a cap ,but cant remember who it wa against

It was against Republic of Ireland in 1976. The press (& Rams fans) were clamouring for his inclusion so Manager Don Revie bowed to the pressure, picked him, then duly stuck him out of position on the wing. Needless to say he didn't have the best of games & was withdrawn after an hour. He told Revie he was a F*****g t**t & was that was the end of his England career.

Ron Greenwood did try to entice him back a couple of years later but it was insultingly for the B squad. Charlie told him to do one as well.

When Charlie as the Executive Suite guest against Brentford last year, he did a Q&A.

I asked him the reason why he only played once for England and can confirm his words above were spot on!

Straight from the horses mouth so to speak.

What a spine (That Maxwell promised to build around)..... Shilton, Wright and has not one of you mentioned the exhilarating Saunders? ( seeing as some are throwing in the odd alternative home nations individual;)) .... Was there for his two goals on debut V Wimbledon :)

At the ex players evening just over a year ago he did a Q & A with Big Rog, and talked about it, Roy Mac also included that when Revie told him he would never play England whilst he was manager he told him to shove his ******* shirt up his ******* arse (or similar) got a rapture of applause from the other ex players in the room

We have quite a few full internationals in the squad now... Carson, christie Baird , Keogh, Bryson russell , anya, martin, bent, nugent. That's pretty much a full team. Maybe others as well. Oh yes pearce  and Olson so definitely a full team with a sub as well.

Olson? Or are you thinking of his brother? Fair point though, we can field a full team of internationals.
