Admittedly though, Bent doesn't have many seasons at this level. Since Bent signed (Jan 2015) for us on loan he has more goals than Nugent... That includes a full season of basically playing 10 mins at the end of games... I think it's @Simsy who keeps quoting "20 league goal a season" strikers... Nugent has done that less times in his career than Vydra... Who seems to be solidly second choice at the moment... This, for me, is a "well we can't get anyone decent but we want to sign someone" kinda signing... He is NOT a quality signing... So I don't see the point... Whether we offered 20 mill or not, he would not pick us over west ham, not many championship players would turn down a prem club for us if given a choice. Being fast isn't everything, especially for a striker like Nugent. He's a very intelligent player and technically very good. He has a knack of being in the right space at the right time, you can't teach that. He knows the division inside and out and he's scored where ever he's been and I for one will be delighted when he does the same here.
