My mate went to High School with him and grew up playing with him. Says he is a good player. Ill find out from him if anything substantial going on.

I already manstion january thread a little while ago. But steve mac has been spotted at hearts.

Mate says he is defenitely looking to move in January. Nearly signed for Wigan in the summer, but manager pursuaded him to stay and look for bigger club down the line. The Hearts manager is now going to MK Dons so Paterson moving on in January.

Says he is very good going forward, great in the air too. Hence why he is Hearts top goalscorer.

No surprise because he was linked with Newcastle when Mac was there.

and to the above question he played as a striker a number of times for Hearts because they didn't have any forwards at the time.

Does this mean Christie won't be signing a contract then? Am I right in thinking Christie could sign a pre contract with another club in January?

Good to see SM doing this type of thing. Shows he's really dedicated 

Been watching the Hearts vs Rangers game and Paterson has done well so far. He's had two long throws and both have resulted in good chances for Hearts. He's put in plenty of good crosses but has been beaten a couple of times by Wallace and Dodoo. The commentator did mention that he's very, very good going forward but there are a few question marks with his defending.

Out of contract in the summer too, talk of 400k

With any club outside of England, yeah. I think Christie will renew and the Paterson interest will be regardless of Christie staying put or leaving to be honest.

I have no probleam in signing these type of players.
