It doesn't say in the article, but I presume if they are going to sell in January following a refusal to sign a new contract, his contract will be up in the summer? He signed for them in 2014 so it would make sense with the standard three-year-contract running to 2017.

If that is the case, then good luck to them if they're hoping to get £8mil for a striker who has 6 months left on his contract. Not going to happen.

Reading somehow managed to get us to pay £3 million for Blackman and Wells has a far better/more conistant scoring record. There's always soeone stupid/desperate enough to pay!

I believe his contract expires in 2018 so he'd have 18 months left at that point. Still quite a lot to ask for a striker who's only scored 3 goals so far this season.

True, but they'd only get that money off someone who was in a promising position and thought splashing out money 6 months early could get them over the line, in which case it would be a good deal.

Makes more sense but still wouldn't pay that for him.

8m very pricey keep the 8m sell martin to fulham for 8m and sign Assombalonga for 10m

So you want to sell Martin to Fulham and £10m for Assombalonga from Forest? Martin might be going or might want to stay at Derby to have another chance to rediscover his form here.

Assombalonga to here ain't going to happen in millions years! Good player but he ain't coming here anyway.

10 sub appearances.

Be chomping at the bit if we approach and we're in the top 6 come the end of Jan.

Maybe a loan to a view to signing?

Or he's staying and fight for the starting place for the team.

Wilson 12 starts, 1 sub appearances, 978 minutes
King - 11 starts, 2 sub appearances, 675 minutes
Afobe - 0 starts, 10 sub appearances, 176 minutes

#stats

If Bournemouth play 2 strikers as they have been doing and one gets injured then that makes Afobe 2nd choice, although against Liverpool Howe replaced King with a winger (Ibe) then brought on Afobe to replace a midfielder player when chasing the game.
