2-0 Darren Bent

Goal description: Will Hughes plays a looping 30 yard through ball over the head of the goalkeeper to allow Darren Bent to power in a header from the edge of the box.

Alternative goal description: Will Hughes kicks the ball forward, their keeper spots a Pokemon, runs off to catch it as the ball somehow bounces over him and Darren Bent gets a diving header on it to allow it to trickle in to the empty net.

Team we're playing finished 7th in the German championship last season, year before lost in ET in the promotion final (against Hamburg, they have a difference play off system where the finalist in the play offs plays 3rd bottom from the top league). So not a bad side. But they've looked poor today

Got to say it, know it's only a friendly...Nick Blackman had three or four lovely touches. Didn't get any end product off any of them, but still. Nice to see.

I like his willingness to run at the defenders, but he needs to mix it up a bit. Today literally every time he got the ball he ran at the full back and eventually they just brought an extra man over and won the ball off him every time. If he can continue to be direct but be a little less greedy as he was today, he could have a decent season.

Like I said, he does the hard part but total fluffs the easy part every time. Frustrating.

Main thing is he looked confident. Just needed to make sure he's not trying too hard to impress. Did too much too often. But at least he's not defeated
