Don't know about the bike rack, but that number plate is definitely illegal .

If you didn’t have a skate board for a car it would look ok, only thing the fuzz look for is clear reg, and clear view of brake lights etc.

Also dodgy Lycra, especially yellow.

Popping the front wheel off then re centre the bike sorts the overhang and the potential indicator obstruction so froggg has the solution.

got stopped by guadia civil last week because the bike would obstruct the lights and number plate.  You are also supposed to fix a red and white board to the side of the bike over here.  He seemed to struggle with the concept that at the time no bike was actually attached and I was therefore not breaching any laws.  Great living in a police state.
