If I'm allowed to count the Levellers, then this is probably my favourite - stong Derby connection too. Simon Friend who wrote it and usually sings it is from Brailsford. I first heard this track when he was busking in the Main Centre. No discussion of folk music can be complete without this though - the origin of the association between Derby and the Ram (the Deer was traditionally Derby's emblem).
