Nottingham Forest legend Des Walker's son Lewis has opted for a move Derby County, HITC Sport understands.

The teenager is one of stars of non-league Ilkeston's youth system, who made it to the the third round of the FA Youth Cup before losing narrowly to Newcastle.

A number of the players from that side are expected to move on, Rhys Dolan has already joined Barnsley whilst a number of teams are battling for centre-half Jordan Wheatley also, but Walker is the next to move.

Walker, who had a trial at Chelsea earlier in the season, saw both Derby and Leicester City agree terms with Ilkeston - who left the decision up to the player.

Accompanied by his father he spoke at length to both clubs and visited them earlier this month, but now HITC Sport understands that he is now set to sign for Derby.

Walker has another son Tyler, who is in the Academy of his former club Nottingham Forest, thus setting up something of a family rivalry.

Take the point about the Treetard link but they can't buy and he'd not get a game at Fester.  As for us, if rumours are true we're going to have more midfielders than Arsenal soon.  If we really need to spend more of Mel's hard earned right now then surely it should be spent bolstering our back four?

You can't seriously think this is for the first team? Surely?
