Jack Grealish

He's not doing himself any favours with his behaviour in the last few months - hope he's not going to follow in the footsteps of the likes of Ravel Morrison, young players with real talent who reckon they've "made it" long before they have!

Once they get this sort of reputation it becomes very difficult to shake off the "bad boy" tag.

Not sure there is any truth in us actually being after him. Guessing with Villa certainties to go down and players off loaded; that as he is a midlands lad  .. and we could be in the market for players...let's make us favs. Decent enough player, not sure he is where we need to strengthen though.

I'm a postie and someone who occasionally works at villa, has been told by someone in the know at villa that it's a done deal on loan to the end of season,it's just a matter of when. He did tell me about bent and weinman so I have no need to question it, but as always it's a wait and see situation as with all rumours

We have got Weimann, Ince, Russell, Camara and Blackman who can play in one of the wide areas.

Thats 5 players for 2 positions. 1 of them wont even make the bench.

Sign Grealish and we have 6 players for 2 positions.

I just really dont think we need Grealish now.

Plus his hair and his socks winds me right up.

I think the words "in the know" should be banned from being used in anyone's first post on this board!

I think the words "in the know" should be banned completely. Annoying phrase.

According to Talk Sport just now, he's coming to the Championship - but probs to QPR - on loan.

just what the lad needs  - a nightclubber  - and he is going to do a spell in the West end - he'll never go back to Brum ha ha

I 'd be amazed if we hadn't enquired about Grealish, As we've just signed two players who can play out wide we've clearly been looking for wingers. Grealish looks to be a very talented young player in need of the right guidance. He could also do with a break from the doom and gloom that surrounds Villa. A move to Derby, either loan or permanent, appears to make sense for all. However, I suspect that our interest ended when Blackman signed on the dotted line. The only potential point that might keep the deal alive is if Clement is looking to have the option of proper getting to the byline wingers, rather than the current wide attackers - although seem unlikely as he said we've done now.

I think Grealish got rather over-hyped after just a couple of decent performances in high profile games. He's got talent, sure, but he needs to prove it consistently over a season.  I think it's tough for any young player at Villa right now and a move is right for him at this stage, but not sure he would have been right for us, especially if we were looking for raw pace which he doesn't have.

Anyone else who doesn't rate him? I don't.

He's alright... may be decent at this level but he's never played in the Championship so can't say. Questionable attitude too. I'd pass if I'm honest.

Not sure I do either Kernow but I suspect my judgement is clouded by the off-football stuff

What I do know was that he played on loan at Notts County in League One a couple of years ago and my County pals absolutely raved about him. Not Championship I know but at least shows he can cut it in the lower divisions.

At the end of the day, though, we are blessed with midfielders so, unless his specialist second position is left back, I can't see any merit in it…...

By not posting very often, do you mean ever? Seeing as both of your 2 posts have come in this thread in the last day...
