Last 6 games have been great for Boro and Derby because the form teams

Boro

Derby

Blackburn

Forest

Brentford

Leeds

Ipswich

Rotherham

Preston

... another 6 games with the same sort form being shown would be nice. Forget winning the league in December or January. What we can do is create a cushion by ploughing on while others struggle with the crazy pace.

46 and 44pts for top 2 after 22 games. Is that normal??

It's important not to focus on form too much, last season taught me that.

Both us and Boro are going to have slip ups, no doubt about it, but it's how we respond to those that will shape our season.

I personally like/prefer that we seem to be taking it game by game, especially over the last two matches. It's easy to find a winning formula and stick with it and hope to ride the crest of the wave. However, if and usually when the wheels come off it can be hard to put them back on.

Clement has really started to come in his own and I'm confident that won't be the case this time around!

Current top 11 of the table, minus the first 5 games each team played, points and goal difference, or basically the form table of the last 17 games. Shows Derby and Boro clearly on a roll.

1 Derby P40 GD+21

2 Middleboro  P38 GD+17

3 Hull  P31 GD+11

4 Burnley P30 GD+10

5 Brighton P30 GD+4

6 Brentford P27GD +3

7 Sheff W P25 GD+3 played one less game

8 Cardiff P24 GD+1

9 Ipswich P24 GD-1

10 Brum P22 GD-1

11 QPR P 19 GD-3

And for what it’s worth

Florest P23 GD+2

And the biggest losers

Charlton P10 GD-21

Yeah, I know I really do have too much time on my hands.

Just notice there’s another thread which kind of covers this so if the mods might wanna move this or close this thread.

But I am please with my maths and it did pass half an hour on a boring Sunday.

My next maths project is to prove Derby should be in the champions league.

Excellent info, birmingram. So, we have made up 2pts on Boro, 9 on Hull, 10 on Burnley, 10 on Brighton.

This seems to suggest that Boro and Derby are starting to run away with it having given the other teams a head start.

Outstanding performance. This bodes well for the second half of the season.COYR

So basically, we have fabricated a league table to make us look like the best team.

Form team are Boro hence then being top of the league. We are second can we not just be happy with that?

Grow up and leave it , its just a bit of fun, have a fag, chill out man
