Gypsy Ram
I can believe this. The way we've been flexing our financial muscles so far I wouldn't be surprised if they try and hold us to ransom. What financial muscle? Freebies and nominal fees? North_Stand_Ram
They were never going to accept the first formal bid for their captain... I remember when we sold Shackell to them they bid a good 3 or 4 times
Animal is a Ram
BURNLEY have rejected an offer for captain Jason Shackell from Derby County.Derby made a bid in the region of £2million over the weekend. But although Burnley have declined to comment on the reports, the Lancashire Telegraph understands they have turned down the offer. However, this is not expected to be the end of the matter with Derby likely to return with an improved offer in the coming days.Shackell left the Rams in the summer of 2012 to join the Clarets on a four-year-deal. DcFc Dyycheee
He's going to have to force the move I reckon.Wouldn't go much higher than the £2m though. Although if Mel is happy to then I'm not going to stop him..

I think he's as good as it comes in this division. 3m is nothing if we get 120m at the end of the season

Stive Pesley
Definitely good business - sell him for a million and then buy him back for 2 million a couple of years later when he's another year closer to the knacker's yard.

Ramarena
We paid 750 and good old Clough cashed in for 1.1 million.Really. I remember people saying that we got over £1.5m and spent it all on Keogh, but I can't find any sources and can't remember where I got that info from it just stuck in my head for some reason. DerbyRam17
I'd take Shackell for £2.5 million, there isn't a better centre half in the Championship.
