Apparently any player who is signed as backup is crap if they don't do wondrous things in cameo appearances. Money, Bents salary must be increidble and i didnt want it to pray on the others minds, the team spirit is the best thing about the squad i reckon.... Bent wont put up with sitting on the bench....he made that clear at a much bigger club than us in the Premiershite. but lastly and most importantly, i had a bet with my 13 year old son at the start of the season when i was still all peed off about the play off's that Martin wouldn't get double figures and that Best would get more than him....... doh! Was the Best signing a mistake? With hindsight yes... But at the time I thought it was a shrewd signing for what was on the market...
