This will be interesting,

Just any lyrics that you connect with and why?

Or lyrics that you think are amazing

One of my all time favourites is from John Prine - Some Humans Aint Human

"Have you ever noticed

when youre feeling really good

theres always a pigeon

thatll come and **** on your hood

Or when youre feeling your freedom

and the worlds off your back

some cowboy from Texas

starts his own war in Iraq"

Makes me think not to take the good for granted and think about all the people killed because of world leaders own vendettas.

Anyway I could probably name thousands

What about me?

Well, I'll find someone

That's not going cheap in the sales

Ah Marc Almond what a drama queen.

All the lyrics from American Pie, (nothing to do with the film) very cryptic but when asked what they meant Don McLean said what "American Pie means I never have to work again"

I met a girl who sang the blues

And asked her for some happy news

But she just smiled and turned away

And I went down to the sacred store

where i' d heard the music years before

But the man there said the music wouldnt play

And in the streets the children screamed

The lovers cried and the poets dreamed

But not a word was spoken

The church bells all were broken

The day the music died

I have two for ya

"As you mindlessly splatter paint upon the canvas, something beautiful reveals itself"

...and...

"Running uphill is a struggle

But if you hold on to that which you're most ardent about

The rewards will be eternal."

I tell a lie when I say I have two. I have loads more than two. I could sit here all night, I love a good song with poetic lyrical content.

I heard this song by Lee Ann Womack after my uncle's funeral which was an interesting event and the song said pretty well how my uncle lived and why we had the funeral we did. I'll try to live by the words of the chorus of the song myself too.

The choices you make

The chances you take

They'll follow you all of your life

I'm just tryin' to live so when I die

The preacher won't have to lie

And if a double-decker bus

Crashes in to us

To die by your side

Is such a heavenly way to die

And if a ten ton truck

Kills the both of us

To die by your side

Well the pleasure, the privilege is mine

Damn all the good ones have gone.
