Yaya Toure

Remember when Ashley Cole almost choked on his drink when Arsenal only offered him £45k per week? After all that playing football he'd done for them he "felt betrayed".

Was it Cisse that was mentioning leaving Newcastle because he doesn't like the gambling sponsors? Don't match his religious beliefs? Give it another 2 years and he'll be praying to play for a PL club even if they're sponsored by the KKK

He was caught in a casino around that time as well

Really???

Ha! Why don't they just say(in yaya's case) I'm not a Man City fan. I gave 100% while I was here, I've enjoyed it, thanks for the support but I want to live somewhere else, I want a change of scenery, to win more trophies and yes, I enjoy money. Who doesn't?

Yes but wasn't the shirt sponsor Wonga?

After the amount of money he's made pretending to be a striker, he can't moan about Wonga.

Atleast Wonga tell you the interest rates straight away. He came over here looking like he might be a good idea at first.

Yep. But the release of the gambling photo resulted in him backing down in the wonga saga.

Maybe a photo of a birthday card from city to yaya will have the same effect?

That's what I meant :)

He left on principle, not for money. They promised a figure, and didn't pay up. His trophy cabinet justifies his decision. He gets a hard time, despite being an amazing servant for club and especially country.

He does get a hard time tbf. I've never understood it. Watch when Gerrard retires/leaves Liverpool. Won't be as low key as Cole.

Looking from the outside, 2 brothers couldn't be more different -Kolo appears to go about his business in a very professional manner which is more than you can say for Ya ya!

There's so much crap spoken about 'lack of respect' or 'he didn't respect me so I just shot him' - most of those spouting this drivel wouldn't know what proper respect means!

Ashley Cole was at that time a cut above every other left back in the division and well on his way to becoming the best left back in the world.

He has consistently performed well for club and country and shouldn't be frowned upon for wanting to be paid on par with other players his standard! I'm assuming no one calling him as ever agreed a pay rise with their boss only for the boss to go back on his word?!

Yaya is a Mardy Cnut who I can't stand.

Man City aren't short of a few bob - I'd have him play in the reserves for the next three years, at which point he'd be past it.

I'd also make sure every squad player but him had a happy birthday message on the website each year.

Incredible player, but an example of a mardy prima donna if ever I've seen one.
