My friend who is employed as a scout by a championship club told me that Mo Camara is our chief scout. That was about a month ago maybe longer - he also mentioned Camara was at the same game as him Saturday (Birmingham is memory serves me well).

I genuinely thought this was a joke

It really isn't http://uk.linkedin.com/in/internationalfootballscout - my favourite part, by far...

Specialties

Finding talented players for Derby county fc. Any players not quite up to standard I try and place them into other football clubs in Europe.

Must have done a lot of work with Billy Davies then..

He's been endorsed for his scouting skills by Nailah Steadman- HR Officer at Dragon Oil.

That's enough to convince me.

But Maradonut  didn't score it.

Trevor Cherry did.

And the England players were doing their best NOT to tackle him.

So Archie wins.  :p

It is a bit of a joke that no England player, defender or otherwise, took it upon themselves to launch him into row z mid-run!

Terry Fenwick's excuse was that Maradona was too strong for him. C**t.

HEAD of football operations Chris Evans has been in Argentina as Derby County look to cast their recruitment net far and wide.

He did some scouting while out there and also caught up with contacts.

During his time as assistant manager and performance director under Gary Megson at Bolton Wanderers he set up a UK, European and worldwide scouting network.

Evans says he has extensive contacts both in this country and other countries.

His job description focuses on recruitment, overseeing the scouting, dealing with agents and the football network.

On being appointment in November, he said: “What is hugely important is Derby County’s relationships with clubs and people. We cannot have enough friends.

“The primary objective will be to develop a structure to identify and recruit players to the club that our manager believes are ones who can take us to the next level.”

Derby have signed four Argentinian players since 1998 – Horacio Carbonari, Esteban Fuertes, Luciano Zavagno and Emanuel Villa.
